I've mentioned many times the way Venditti has let me down, but I really like what he did with Hammond. He made Hec a fun character to read - much better than just a straight-up villain.

Yep...but w/out a soul IIRC...

Still, Hal is the ultimate Pal.

Hal even cured John's paralysis.

With god-like power, Hal helped his friends while Sinestro just wanted to spread fear.

If I had a pal like that, he can crash on my couch anytime.
