You read it because its good. Which is the only reason anyone should read anything. I get what you're saying and where you're coming from, I truly do, and we both want the same things from DC. But when the publisher puts out a quality book and you don't read it because of the mistakes they made in the past you're just shooting yourself in the foot. You're telling them that there's no point to trying, because you've already made up your mind and DC can't change it or prove themselves.

If you want quality books with a diverse cast, you need to support the good titles DC puts out with a diverse cast. I get where you're coming from man, I really do. But your anger is blinding you. We all have plenty of reason to be pissed off at the comics industry about these topics and the treatment a lot of characters have gotten. But if you condemn every book DC puts out, you'll never get the thing that we all want.

DC's own ANTICS condemn every book. Not the fans.
I never said DC can't prove themselves. My stance is every time they do prove themselves-they decide to go back to what chased fans off in the first place.

And yes, that includes Sideways. If you dont? Why would DC give a damn about trying again?

The fact the Spider-Man name can be SHARED by Peter Parker, Miguel O'Hara, Miles Morales and even a PIG and produce 1000+ solo issues with Peter, 75+ with Miles & 100+ with Miguel. Not to mention some MOVIE.

With not one book TRASHING each other.

Heck we have even has an ASIAN SPider-Man with a TV SHOW. No one got confused.

Why is that an issue HERE??? Along with the Green Lantern franchise. Where the majority of fans don't care who is number one.

I wanted Wally West to play a HUGE ROLE IN DOOMSDAY CLOCK given he was the one that tried to warn the heroes of the manipulations of Dr. Manhattan, but given how DC is treating the character, it seems that will not be possible.

(Aren't those BlackLine books normally out of continuity unless DC specifies otherwise, like with Johns' upcoming Three Jokers limited series?)

It's Zod. It's a bit surprising that Clark didn't kill the guy himself, since that's usually what happens. >shrug<

So still down to one DC book. Just switched them.

For myself, there are only one or two books I'm actually getting and enjoying. JLD and Hawkman. But honestly, with the incredibly disgusting way DC is treating my favorite character currently, I kinda feel "dirty" ,(for lack of a better term), buying any of their stuff and giving them my money.

It is out of continuity and not canon but still. Having Batman rape and kill someone, even in an alternate story, still feels wrong and muddles the character.

Yep! Johns Shazam was a much needed breath of fresh air! The first issue was light hearted and fun, as a Shazam book should be. Highly recommend! It’s nice to have one of my favorite characters return.

I checked it out. It was ok but the kids kinda got on my nerves.
I know how you feel though. I was so hyped when they brought back Hawkman recently. It's a great feeling.

Thinking about it, other than the artwork there hasn't been a damn thing I've enjoyed about this story.
Three issues worth of my money ($22) is enough I think.
Hopefully, someone in the next 12 months comes aboard and erases all this crap.

In a vacuum the scenes with Wally and his kids are nice, but they're really fucking undermined by the actual story its in. It's just literally showing us how good that stuff can be but lol it's all fake and Wally's dead(or worse, if rumors are to be believed), get fucked for liking it!
