I still find that version of the power levels chart a little confusing in places.

Ah, I thought you were talking about the revised version.

I'm pretty familiar with the general power tiers of DB, so the original worked fine with me, but the revised version certainly help clarify things.

Trust me, that’s important. It will come up soon why this is only possible because what happened there.

Essentially, my thought was that the Grand Priestess/Maven intend to seal off Threshling space. They already cut off portaling there.

However, those in charge presume that each planet also activated an emergency protocol that would have distorted space itself around the planets, making ship travel also impossible. A built in spell Auroc designed just in case. With Auroc’s defeat, however, and the hasty retreat, the order was delayed and when it was sent out, those in charge of Baradur were otherwise occupied and then unable to do so.

Baradur did not, mainly because those in charge of Baradur are getting kicked around.

However, those in Reshlan don’t realize Baradur didn’t activate the spell (it’s tied to Auric, so for as long as he’s out, they can’t sense it’s not working).

So there is a safe travel window created by the efforts on Baradur, and thus any ships heading to Threshling space will have to pass near Baradur and thus those there can get picked up.

Ochazuke, Zaofan and Held were literally maybe, 2-3 posts away from putting out a message? And they made the effort to chart the uncharted space for this very reason.

But if the Kai in question is going to be a major player going forward, I suppose as needs must.
