It's highly likely she would have gone into Vaikuntha once those... things attacked. Or, perhaps, to store and study those little crystal things inside the fliers. So it's entirely possible she might have been left behind or dropped somewhere completely unintended.

That very fact is what's pisses him off so much currently*. Any bit of his freedom getting taken away riles him up after all those years in that toilet.
