Without looking up from the console, "If Meagan were here she could block those nanite things from getting any energy, or maybe drain them or somethin. Only, ah think it's be hard on her, seein as how the Doctor is an alt of Jinzi." Dash then looks up, "Anyway those nanites can be controlled by somethin outside of the Doctor?"

I mean I explained why it's an issue.

Dash's response implied, intentionally or otherwise, that she didn't trust the people that were actually there to fight the Doctor. Inanna's using that example, to ask Dash why she should be trusted, if she has shown in the past, she doesn't trust others.

It's not a question Inanna needs answered, mind you. Just something for Dash to consider while she's dealing with Parsley

So Dash musing how someone else might handle a situation implied mistrust? Especially someone Dash admires and looks up to....Like I said, I'll have to look it up but I'm pretty sure that wasn't her intent in any way.

More importantly though, Inanna isn't Ishtar.

All she has is that single memory to go off of, and it's shaped her perception. If she's wrong? It'll be easy enough for Dash to fix

Okay, so she was speaking her thought out loud with the idea that it might inspire other ideas as to handle the situation. She also knew that there had been murmurs about why Meagan wasn't joining in on this mission. Which weighed on Dash's mind. It wasn't like Dash could forget about Meagan under these circumstances.

If others were talking about her, or if circumstances lent themselves to keep her in mind, then it's hard for Dash not to think about her.

Also that was the first mission in a while that Dash went on after being discharged from her duties as an Apprentice Guardian, which left her a little unsure of herself.

This was more a reflection of Dash's uncertainty about herself, absolutely nothing to do with any trust issues for the others.

Telling them that is also unlikely to cause an immediate change. Actions are louder than words after all

In game Dash also didn't get the comment Inanna made, didn't understand it. Didn't remember it. It was a long time ago.

Point of her comment was to get Dash to think about how she might be perceived by the others, and what she can do to fix that. If she doesn't feel the need to, or doesn't think Inanna deserves hey, that's also a route to take.

Important thing is that it's character interaction, and that's always what I'm aiming for.

Understood. If Dash can think of a response, she'll say it. But right now she's dealing with Parsley. After that she might respond to Inanna if she can.

Far away, on another world:

“Target locked.”

The electronic voice speaks into the comm, though no sound can really be heard coming from the man. Near empty space surrounds him, the barren rock he lays against unlivable for any species. No atmosphere and barley enough gravity to keep him tethered to the ground, his nano machines have formed anchors to keep him in place.

Final Verdict against his cheek, eye looking through the scope, he watches the target.

“Commencing firing. Whistle’s Boon active.”


A bolt of energy about a meter long lances out, quiet and deadly, from the gun and shoots off into space. He lowers the gun and taps a button on his wrist.

“Target elimination in two hours. Request pick-up.”

A moment later, a portal appears and The Judge releases his nano-anchors and floats into it, vanishing from the barren world he left.

Two hours later a bolt of dark red energy slips silently through space, silently through atmosphere, and strikes its intended target from on high. No warning, no error, just pin point accuracy from solar systems away.

Target eliminated.

Translation: If you don't hurry up, your side-characters and NPCs get the bullet 0_0

...kidding aside, the stipulations around this guy's powers are going to make for interesting encounters.
