Yeah it's pretty bad. Basically Superman 64 but underwater with slightly better graphics.

I don't know what to think about this. On one hand it she cold be a cool villain. On the other I feel she is one of the characters who show up in exactly one story arc.
Edit: Plus she created the entire universe and her threat level is 6 out of then? How?

I’m into it. Also, if she’s a goddess and we’re getting more mysticism I hope we get a reemergence of the Lady of the Lake.

It's not that bad. Our AVGN actually (albeit mockingly) rated it among the best "retro" Comics-inspired games. Search, Joueur du Grenier Under the Sea and you'll see it

My name is Arthur Curry and I am the fastest swimmer alive. To the outside world, I am an ordinary fisherman, but secretly with the help of my talking fish in sea I fight aliens and find other leaguers like me. I gonna hunt down the man who killed my mother, but in doing so, I opened up my world to the surface world, and I am the only one atlanten enough to stop them. I am The Aquabro.

I’m wondering if they gave too much away, with the long scenes. Music sounds great- i’m wondering if there’s going to be a sequel.

I feel like it’s going to be one of those things where we feel they have so much away but it was actually just a speck. I feel we’ve still go so much more to see of The Trench, Atlan, the inner politics of Atlantis, etc.

That aside, Jason still isn’t selling me as Arthur.

Yeah, he feels a little too...dumb, to me I guess? That pee line really didn't do it for me.

But that reveal of him in the classic suit was amazing .

I worry about him and amber being able to lead this movie. Both aren't the greatest actors in the world.

That and the sheer amount of CGI.

Definitely excited though. Looks like it coudl easily be my favorite DCEU (or whatever its called now) movie

background on arthur
arthur coaxed back to atlantis and fights orm in gladiator match for the crown
arthur loses
athur mera look for trident
ambushed by manta
head to the trench for trident
ends up with trident
war with Orm

biggest questions, IMO are:

- why is orm attacking teh surface world now?
- why is manta working with orm at all?
- what the others countries/kingdoms have to do with it. are they aligning with Orm? Arthur?
- what does the trident actually do?

I fully expect the majority of the supporting cast to carry the dialogue for Amber and Jason. The moments of them with the artificial were a little painful.

And even those things are revealed still seem pretty small to me. At least in relation to the bigger questions. Not to mention what actually happen with Atlanna after she leaves, why they bring Arthur to challenge him, why certain folks decide to side with him, etc. there so much more background lore, imo that I feel this is just a tease. Yeah, you might get the overall plot but the devil’s in the details.

They showed alot but not really. It was things already talked about and leaked. Some things were new though. Like I said in the other thread they're hiding the last part of the movie.
