If Marvel is planning to revive the Ultraverse, I think they should proceed without using Prime, Ultraforce and other creations of Gerard Jones, because, from what I understand about the deal, the Ultraverse creators are entitled to receive some of the royalties or profits earned from sales of the comic books featuring their creations.

I recall Gerard Jones was ordered by the court to pay restitutions to his victims. I prefer that he would get no royalties made from some Ultraverse revival.

According to some of the ultraverse creators they said marvel owns the characters fully. Also has marvel stopped using other characters due to character controversy? I'm sure there are others, but they still use them.

I see. I wish the Ultraverse will enter public domain soon. It is better to let others to use it in whatever way they like and show it to the audience (us) than let Marvel leave the unused properties to bite the dust.

By the way, I liked Mickey Mouse's Trap horror film trailer.

When it first come out yes that's why it got a cartoon, live tv show and a firearm movie. They also had ads for the comics on tv at the time.

I must confess it surprises me to see this thread early the year.

It was successful enough to make both the big two wanted to buy it.
I like to express it more poetically:

"It shone brightly for a few moments and then suddenly went out.
    Went out? Gawd, no!!
It was KILLED for an hungry monster who devored it."

Indeed. Suppously Marvel owns the Ukltraverse characters 100% but the reasons for not using them are confusing. Some creators had made certain "use" of some of the characters but you could argue than in certain way, they didn't use them, as for example Rune in the Galactus comic series by Jim Starlin of the highly debatable apparition of Topaz in MCU's Thor: Ragnarok.
