I always felt that Kelly Sue DeConnick should had used Monica for her self-titled Captain Marvel series instead of Carol Danvers back in 2012. KSD ruined Carol's character that is still being felt today. It's thanks to her that Carol's friendship with Peter Parker went into oblivion...

Monica was a blank slate compared to Carol Danvers. KSD could had made something out of Monica because the character isn't used as much.

Thank the Goddess KSD didn't write Monica instead. Because she would have been ruined and completely forgotten. At least with Carol the Avengers office don't care that she was ruined as they have full authority to keep writing and publishing her, regardless.

As it is Monica, isn't being written as often as she should be. And that has me sad.
