I think there's potential in making the Mandarin a threat beyond Shang Chi's own film/s, yeah.

There was a rumor going around a while ago (before we saw logos and casting announcements) that in the film, the Mandarin would be a....like a shadow king; he'd rule multiple terror groups and criminal organizations, many of whom wouldn't even know that they were part of a larger whole, wouldn't realize that they were ultimately working for the Mandarin at all.

That idea has potential, and through that you could have the Mandarin pop up in a bunch of different movies, as the ultimate crime boss pulling the strings on a bunch of groups. Those groups could be current-era threats as well as older threats with the Mandarin retro-actively put into the mix, to make it seem as if he's been a player all along, but is so good at keeping everything covert nobody ever noticed.

Now, after Thanos, this isn't really major enough to warrant being a "multi-phase Biggest Bad of Big Bads" like Thanos was, but it'd still be interesting to see and it'd make Shang Chi a bigger, more important part of the MCU.

This would be epic if this is how they are going to do The Mandarin. He should have his fingers in a lot of pies, besides just having the 10 rings.

I mean, I don't normally say this about celebrities, but.....can this guy just run for President already?

A more Earth worldly-level threat would be nice before we get Secret Invasion or something like that.

New Avengers vs. Mandarin would be a good way to go, IMHO. Bring up or in some of the new or lower tear people before the Skrull/Kree stuff or other galactic threat ensues.

I know Marvel sequels now are team-up movies but other Avengers kind of leads me to think Secret Invasion is the story in CM2

I did, and I thought the cast did a good job.

I rarely question Marvel's casting anymore, and the actress does look good for Kate. I'm sure she'll do well here too.

I'm still expecting this show to take a lot of influence from Fraction, and probably won't have much in the way of costumes. How does the actress look in an athletic t-shirt? That's probably close to what we'll get.
