I hope they won't postpone Black Widow again.

At this point I wish they'd just throw Widow up on Disney+
I'm not trying to see theaters shut down but we've waited almost a year for the damn movie, it's unlikely, given the vaccine rollout thus far, that most of the country will be comfortable going to theaters before summer, and there's other films that can be tossed up on the big screen to help theater chains recover once the dust settles.
Just give me my gods damn Black Widow movie on D+ for thirty bucks or whatever it is they charge for digital purchases. I'll get the blu-ray when it comes out too, and will see the next MCU movie in theaters when I don't have to worry about it putting my at-risk wife in the hospital.

I can't help but to feel the same. It won't be the last of the movies. They'll have plenty to put in theaters once they finally re-open.

I feel like Marvel has no other option but to do a hybrid release (or at least drop it earlier on D+ after it hits theaters) at this point. Because can they really afford to postpone their entire movie schedule AGAIN when the TV shows, which are ALSO a part of the schedule, are coming out normally? At one point things are not gonna sync up anymore, and that can be a problem for the narrative they're building there. We know Florence Pugh is supposed to appear in Hawkeye, for instance, and Hawkeye is planned to stream later this year. Black Widow probably HAS to come out before Hawkeye then, or there's the risk that Pugh's role will end up spoiling the movie. There could be other productions that connect to each other like that too and would require a specific release order. Being a huge, shared franchise like the MCU turned out to be a monkey's paw during this pandemic.

Yeah that Wakanda series sounds awesome. As far was BW goes, I'm doing a slow drip rewatch of Star Wars movies and shows, then doing a slow drip rewatch of all MCU movies and shows. That'll put me I think into the summer. Hopefully things will be more sorted out by then. I wonder though, since because by now we were to get Black Widow, then Falcon/Winter Soldier and Eternals before the schedule shift, I wonder if that's the order that the early Phase 4 should be watched? BW-FAWS-Eternals-WandaVision so on and so forth?
