It does make people want to tamper their expectations. Some people were expecting this to be an Oscar worthy movie.

One a side note, do we really need another 'world is ending threat' like we saw in DS1? Cause I don't think so. If Shuma-Gorath appears, I'd like to see him/her/it in a different capacity.

Agreed. I enjoy a good extinction level event as much as the next guy, and that kind of thing obviously makes sense for Strange, who remains one of the most powerful heroes in the MCU. But I'm hoping for a villain with a different flavor than "destroy/enslave all things!" At least put a new spin on it, yknow?

Is Strange 2 still supposed to be a horror type film? I feel like I would really appreciate that, if it's still on the table.

Damn, Rosemary Harris is still alive. So I was hoping for a future cameo.

Maguire's Peter has retired from being Spider-Man while Andrew's Spider-Man has stopped being Peter Parker in their respective universes.

I wonder if this means that we will see Mayday Parker in the future as Spider-Girl. I could see Sony wanting to bring back the Ramiverse with her as the lead and maybe make another Amazing film featuring Spider-Gwen.

I don't think they've confirmed a clear villain yet. Like, we're probably getting a Strange vs. Mordo fight one way or another, but there doesn't seem to be confirmation of the overarching threat other than cleaning up the multiverse.

I'm not sure if Shuma-Gorath is the Big Bad. He seems like something that would just be there to give Stephen (and company) something to fight.

DS1 strange was... weak lol.

Then we have NWH coming up... are we scaling strange back to DS1 ish levels because he is with a street level dude or?

I must admit the critical reception towards Eternals has made me more enticed to see the movie than any of the marketing. I'm anxious to know what the heck is so bad about it, especially since reviewers have always been so lenient and soft on the Marvel franchise. It's kind of an anomaly.

Yeah but I can scratch that itch on Disney Plus in 6 months.

I think it helps that Strange lends himself well to horror.
