I understand everyones passions on this. I personally don't know what I would have done. But this is a damn if you do damn if you don't situation. If they recast him, there will be a bunch of people complaining that way to. I think they should have. But there are a lot of emotions on both sides with this.

Yeah it's a crap situation. The world never should have lost that man so early, and any choice with Black Panther will have its detractors. I myself side with recasting; letting T'Challa's story continue seems the best way for Marvel to honor Chadwick and what he gave us, in my opinion. But I can see the argument for the other side too.

In any case, the decision is out of our hands and all we can do is bitch online about it. Regardless of my personal preference, I hope that movie is good. We all need a successful Black Panther in the world.

Just pray your bladder will be able to hold up through the duration of the film.

Whatever it takes.

They don't have to recap it all. There aren't that many important plot points to go over. Much of WandaVision was suspenseful and not action oriented. They just have to have someone make mention of Wanda creating her family in the bubble in Westview.

You only think this is sufficient because you watched the show.

Without the show, we haven't even seen Wanda create life out of nothing lol.

Or the fact she can do something other that shoot red energy blasts and be creepy.

It's not because I watched the show. It's because there's not much to explain there. They didn't even go into great detail in the show. Just that she's the Scarlet Witch who wields chaos magic and created the children. It's not like they went into great detail of where chaos magic and the Darkhold come from.

I think the re-shoots might have something to do with the movie failing to adequately describe what happened in WandaVision and Loki. I just get this feeling the MoM will be a longer film now. Folks NEED to have some information about what happened in previous Disney Plus shows. I'm just worried they'll needlessly add new characters and cameos which will confuse audiences. Many viewers will probably ask, what's a variant (non-COVID)? I'm very curious to see how seamless the transition will be from television to film. Well, if things end up being a mess, at least we'll be able to enjoy some corny-ass Raimi humor. That's a plus for me. I didn't like the Sony Spider-Men movies, but Tobey's "Now dig on this" line was fucking hilarious.

That sounds like something that could be established in the movie itself with just a couple of lines.

Either Wong, Strange or Mordo will go "gasp! Wanda can create life out of nothing??" or "the Scarlet Witch's power grew exponentially during the Westview incident" at some point in the movie. Anybody intrigued can check out Wanda Vision afterwards but the A-plot will be something else in the movie.

Look at Ant-Man's movies. They don't make a lot of money but most viewers weren't shocked when a guy who can shrink suddenly showed up in Civil War. Ant-Man 2 was all about the Quantum Realm but for Endgame they just used the information most relevant to time travel. The only confusion about time travel stemmed from Hulk's explanation of it in the movie and the end scene with Steve Rogers. Casual audiences accept the fact that these heroes live in a universe now and that each hero is off doing their **** before popping up in another character's movie.

I feel like there might be a little disconnect with people but it probably depends on how much they address it and how much it hits, and what audiences are willing to be game for.

I think this movie will definitely be a litmus test for how it works.

But a lot of people didn't watch them regardless. Most people do not, in fact, decided to watch stuff based on whether Feige said on an interview that they have to watch it or not. Cause if you're a casual who wouldn't care about watching WandaVision, you're not paying attention to that in the first place.

She likely won't be presumably evil being that she's working with the team on merchandise. She also gave up the bubble. The Darkhold is also not the same in this universe. And even in the 616 it didn't turn people evil necessarily. Just gave them their wishes at a cost.

Everyone in the general fandom that was just watching the films was calling for her to be called the Scarlet Witch. They already knew who she is.

Her powers changed from AoU - Endgame and no one needed it explained to them.
