you wow really this but two posts above someone said that mutants shouldn't be included. how is that any less controversial? the MCU has gotten along without the Fantastic Four just fine. and their importance is all based around them being the first family and having the smartest man in the MU as their leader. i'm not seeing a gigantic need for any of that in the current cinematic universe. part of the drama of endgame was that they didn't just have a time travel specialist around. everything they were doing was theoretical. and, for obvious reaons, the FF would not be the first family.
how's that ignoring me coming along?
I honestly don’t get what you’re saying. Kevin Feige said he wants to get as much of Marvel in the MCU as he can, hence anything they can use (which by now is mostly everything) has free reign with nothing off limits. They’re not going to exclude the Fantastic Four or the X-Men for no reason, and he’s made it clear that he’s very excited to use those characters now.
maybe the Fantastic Four should take place in their own "universe," as well.
Why are you even saying this stuff when you know that’s now what’s going to happen?
They could just not make him an actual sibling to Thor and just use him how he was before the JMS retcon, but I see your point.
I thought he could be Agger, but he seems too much of a B-lister to warrant being the Big Bad of a movie with two Thors, and if Bale is a villain I can't see him not being the main one.
I'm sure whatever Marvel Studios does it'll be a lot of fun. They have rarely let me down in any meaningful way and have not yet made a film I didn't enjoy enough to watch a second (or third, or fourth....) time.
But I'd rather the mutants stay in their own setting. I don't feel like they really fit with the regular MU where they've been around since the start, and with the MCU being so well established.....I dunno. I'm sure it'll be good regardless but I think mutant phobia makes a lot more sense when you don't have Thor and Captain America running around, signing autographs.
The FF will fit just fine in the regular MCU of course; that's just another bunch of super humans. Their status as the first family is no more necessary than Superman's being the first hero. And it'd be easy to introduce them in the 60's, making them the first family, and say they've been off exploring the Negative Zone ever since, or whatever. If they could do it with Carol they can do it with the Richards clan.
