Congrats to Shalla Bal! And now I have not one but two ideas for great cover contests.

    Congrats Shalla.

I can't believe my favorite Colan DD didn't get a single vote. Yous guys ain't got any taste. Well except for voting for Shalla's great Wood cover.

Here was the other cover I thought of using

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

    Congratulations, Shalla.

I chose a cover that has three variations of Matt Murdock, and it did not even get one honorable mention....

I'm going to sulk in a corner now.

If it's any consolation, you were on my list of possible covers to vote for.

I just had to go for that amazing wraparound cover of Daredevil #500 by Marko Djurdjevic posted by Foxley
If you look closely, you were in my list of honourable mentions

There were so many good covers and in particular by Gene Colan, so hard to choose.

That's another great Paolo Rivera cover.

It sure is. The inking technique he used reminds me of the late Bernie Wrightson.

Congratulations, Shalla Bal. That cover is so iconic to me because it's one of the all time great "done in one" stories IMO.

Thanks for votes Abe and WestPhillyPunisher!

Congratulations to Shalla Bal for a marvelous cover which truly exhibited the spirit of Marvel's Silver Age and their growing effects on the comic book world. I am not being negative, but it's even more amazing that this book's effect was more seen with the inside story rather than the cover. This was a story that may have done more to define Marvel as something different than just about anything else they put out. If you haven't read this story, read it.

As to what the captain has learned this week, he has learned far more about his fellow posters than he has the covers and comics history this week. He has realized that we all look at this contest differently and that diversity makes for a very interesting event each and every week.

Thanks go out to seismic-2 and Major Hoy for their votes. As much as I deservedly talk up the other parts of this contest, I also like to get votes. #inittowinit

    Congrats Shalla Walla Balla!

My favorite of the Colan covers - so hard to choose. I got caught up and mesmerized by Doom's eyeballs so voted for that Colan cover!

Special thanks to icctrombone, Kirby101, Rob Allen and whiteshark for voting for that wonderful Wood cover; and mrp and Raffi for the hon. mentions.

I'm looking at Chad's list; new contest up soon.

I'm a little surprised the covers below by my favourite Daredevil artist Frank Miller were not posted:

    So many cool Miller covers.
