The one I was thinking of is a much older classic cover--maybe I'll post it after the conclusion of the contest.
We were all thinking of the same cover. IM, to her credit, exercised her comics knowledge and surprised us. Well, me anyway.

Now I never noticed that on the Paolo Rivera cover. Quite genius!

There are actually two classic DD covers with the two DD gentlemen AND two other classic non-DD covers with both Matthew & Victor

Was going to post the cover to #62 from Vol 2. (picture on my profile, love Maleev); however, recently was able to get a signed copy of this #600 variant cover (by both Adi Granov and Charles Soule) and the art is awesome:

Side note on this cover - I prefer it when Doom's eyes and the area around them appear as flawless through the mask. Lots of artists make the eye area out to be disfigured, which misses the point of the mask I think.

There are times when I am tempted to say that Gene Colan did the best Silver Age Doom but I don't want to diss the King for coming up with the design in the first place.

But Gene Colan + Tom Palmer inking is tough to beat.....the eyes have it.

It came down to two covers form very different eras of ole hornhead, but in the end, Mazzuchelli edged out Wally Wood, so Shalla Bal is runner up and my vote goes to...

    Enigmatic Undead.
