Considering how generic Cannonball's role has been, they could have used Sunspot in his place instead

Well Weapon X is ending roughly in 2 weeks. Maybe they'll avoid using anyone there just yet. Domino will be in X-Force, but even that's not coming until 2 weeks after the WX ending.

JDW said there may be plans for Monet soon. Saladin Ahmed says he has a project coming that won't be announced just yet. And we know how he likes diversity & using POC. He was the one who expanded on Blink more, and gave us an Exiles team with up to 4 POC. So maybe he could end up with Monet, where she'll actually stay brown. lol Plus her Muslim heritage, like his, and getting to show that more, could have him calling to use her (and clean up some of the white-washing lol).

Synch's death in Gen X was a very bad look... but twenty years on, I can understand letting him go. He was just a boy for Jubilee and M to tug of war. He should have gotten hurt and left the Academy, gone to college and become the Cece Reyes of that generation. Killing him was a fridge.

That said, Prodigy is a better character with a better look and more interesting powers, challenges and overlaps POC, nerd, worldwide Avengers, and LGBTQ circles. HE's the kid I think needs to be brought to the center of mutant classroom dramas. Bedlam always gets forgotten by seemingly everyone but I think he's the Gambit of the X-Force generation. Devastatingly destructive and a constant headache, writers should triple down on Hotep tropes and make him the anti-Prodigy. Bonus points to get them on the same team with Storm and Frenzy.

I'm only slightly familiar with Cipher, so I'll bow out of critique and creativity. I do really like Bling though.

Tempo would make a great S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who breaks rules to help her old teammates out.

I really would love to see what he could do with a young X-Men group. His voice would definitely add to their diversity, rather than just the token representation that writers usually give them.

I just realized that the original tagline was "No One Survives the Experience" and it was correct bc almost everyone involved "died"

Yeah, you're right. It looks like the only survivors are: Havok, Magik, Madrox, Wolfsbane, Banshee, Sunspot (all seen or will be seen in Uncanny), Gambit & Rogue (outer space) Warpath, Cannonball, Boom Boom, Domino, Shatterstar (all X-Force), and technically Rachel who is in X-Force.
