I've always thought Artemis was a bit tanner than Diana and it always irks me when I see her portrayed as light-skinned.

Yara Flor and Nubia are a great start. They should also bring back Euboea in a big way. I'd much rather these women of color be used than Donna or Cassie, both of whom never made a huge impact on me.

I think there is a difference between race bending bigger characters compared to more minor characters, I dont see it as fake progression at all unless they just do it and then totally forget about the character.

It's fake because it's riding someone else's coat tails. You should be popular on your own merit not because you catfished a name. It's second hand and cheap. It's table scraps and unworthy.

Deodato's pornographic art aside (though it's definitely appealing in it's own way) I unapologetically love that run. Probably my sixth or seventh favorite WW run.

I feel there's room enough for everybody. That's what inclusion is. Instead of race bending Donna, Cassie or Artemis, develop Nubia, Euboea, Yara Flor, et al, to be even better and more compelling.

While I can partially agree, will just have to agree to disagree. Turning a character like Iris, black, for The Flash tv show is nowhere near catfishing or riding on someone elses coattails in my book.

Yeah, it's not as bad in live action for some reason, especially when they haven't been seen before or are in the supporting cast. Like what difference does it make if Lawrence Fishburne plays Perry White or Anna Diop plays an alien as Starfire? That doesn't bother me, but when it's in canon in the comics it feels fraudulent and invalid.

Yeah, Artemis being white (and named after a Greek goddess for that matter), never made much sense given where she was supposed to be from. I don't even mind her keeping the red hair at all as dark skin and red hair makes for a unique and interesting visual.

Diana doesn't have anywhere near as large amount of side characters and side kicks to be considered too much.

We have 3 wonder girls, like 8 named amazons with no development, 2 other wonder women, and a list of "mans world" side characters that have barely even been touched and at most we get one ongoing solo title to explore them in. How is that not a large cast?

People that complain every single time Diana uses a sword and shield are as tiresome as the people who complain when she isn't using it every single time.

I'll maintain that any situation you put Diana in where she has a shield and a sword becomes far more interesting if she has a lasso and bracelets, because she would react to it in a really unique way

We need more Cassie and Donna. One thing that techically bothers is how often Dc uncuts Diana's strength. I mean with a bullet I don't think she should dead one to three. If you can take a blow from Superman than you can take a blow from a gun. I'm not saying bullets shouldn't harm her. Rather that how they work on her should be different.

In all honest I wouldn't mind if she had the shield or sword but it shouldn't be the first thing she holds. I go for the idea maybe her bracelets can also hold stuff

Two of those Wonder Girls barely appear in the comics and the third was only created recently and is in her own book, most of the named Amazons either die or fade into the background and the only man's world characters being used are Steve and Etta. And that still isn't nearly large enough to be considered too much. We aren't talking about the X-Men here who need at least four books to support the numerous characters they've acquired over the years.

This doesn't change my point that we have a large enough cast, most just aren't used or get replaced by a writer's pet characters.

Or she has both and simply uses the lasso and bracelets 90% of the time.
