Agree the clay birth should be exclusive to Diana, why I generally prefer her as the only child on the island.
With Nubia probably make her Philipus' daughter or a member of the Bana.

Regarding clay birth
a) I think that Diana cannot be the only kid on Themyscira. She needs other kids around to socialize with as she grows up. As such, there needs to be a way for other amazons to be born on the island.
b) I think Diana's powers shouldn't have any correlation with her Birth. With her themes, it just doesn't make sense for her to be born more special than the other Amazons.
So since there needs to be other ways for Amazons to be born, and since I think Diana's birth shouldn't be special, having other Amazons get the Clay Birth thing makes sense to me
They clay birth thing only happens because they were previously spirits of unborn baby, also killed when the mother was killed
...
I guess those things can happen a lot over millenias
Not really....
Its unnecessary....
Diana is one of the most powerful heroes in DC, has martial arts training and no real weaknesses...
Her being the daughter of Zeus adds NOTHING to her mythos, but takes MUCH away from Cassandra.
Before it worked perfectly with Diana as daughter of Hippolyta, Donna the "weapon" and Cassandra daughter of Zeus.
No, it made the Amazons unlikable. Baby killers and made Hippoltya look weak. Hippolttya had stood up to the Gods many times.
I mean girls being killed still happens today. Newborn girls being killed or abandoned in isolated areas. So there can be generations of Amazons from ancient Greece to the modern era. To keep with Perez these women could easily be in the womb of Gaia. If we go with Legend of Wonder Woman. THeir slightly get the souls and become pregnant. Diaan could easily be the last children born for a while with Donna being the adopted one. If we want Diana to be the only clay born child that could be the way. All her friends are reborn spirts and Diana is the only new soul
That's actually a good point that I did not initially notice, but Shim'tar indeed does resemble Nubia in her armor.
Oddly, in a "Wonder Woman Through the Ages" poster he did, Perez positioned Shim'tar next to pre-COIE Dr. Cyber. He positioned the various versions of Cheetah, Circe and Psycho next to their counterparts, so I always found that odd. Was Shim'tar really meant to be the post-COIE Cyber? I wonder if Perez had stuck around if he would have made her go by the name Cyber at any point and flesh out her backstory.
I don't mind but it's also lonely. It's important for a child to also be with someone their own age. Maybe that's where Mala comes in. She was one of the girls saved due to a shipwreck.
That could be something that Diana could struggle with. That despite the warmth and love and sisterhood with the amazons, Diana really never had someone her age to play with. Discovering that Donna could have potentially been there, only to be taken away or kidnaped or whatever can have a negative outlook on her Patron's "plans". Maybe she values her family more so; maybe she resents the gods a bit now; maybe she wants to find any other "wonder women". This breeds conflict and character development that moves the story forward.
Maybe this put a lot of pressure on Hippolyta to try and give Diana the best childhood she could have. This could all be explored in a story.
