Greek myth gets used a lot but few adaptations are particularly popular. Wonder Woman actually has very little competition in that regard. Just because it's public domain doesn't mean it can't be iconic in its own right. See Castlevania.
What popular shows? Super Friends? Cheetah and Giganta also appear in it, and though they might be visually iconic, they aren't referenced in pop culture.

Greek Myth has countless blockbusters released almost every year. Clash of the Titans, Percy Jackson, God of War games, Disney's Hercules movie and animated show, countless other animated kids shows, other video game franchises like Assassins Creed. There's no comparison. Wonder Woman is competing with all those things, and the worst part is that those things make her seem less unique. Ares and even Circe are villains in countless stories and movies and shows and games, whereas Joker and Luthor only appear on DC franchises. If Diana was uniquely about celtic mythology it might actually pass, but with greek culture the more dependent she is on it the less of an identity she has.

Bizarro and Brainiac were in Superman: TAS, they were also adapted for Smallville. Brainiac also appeared in several DTV movies and on Krypton. Just because the movies are lagging doesn't mean that animated and tv shows haven't picked up the slack. These characters have been consistently reintroduced and refurbished for newer generation. The same often can't be said for WW villains.

You think Seinfeld referenced Bizarro because of Superman: TAS? Smallville didn't even call Bizarro by name, and Braniac looked like a normal person there crossed with liquid terminator. Braniac appeared in two movies as far as I can recall, neither of which was a particular success. So none of those things are the reason why those characters became famous nor why people still refer to certain things as "bizarro version of something".

There was that Glee episode where one character mentioned Wonder Woman fighting Cheetah.

There's also a big reference to Doctor Psycho in Orange is the New Black when two characters are talking about Wonder Woman and refer to another character as him. "The one who hates women!"

They aren't referenced much but I do get a tickle when they are.

Seinfeld is a huge Superman fan and I believe he read the comics.

Wow, I didn't even know a show existed that reference WW villains...let alone two.

The Percy Jackson movies were terribly received and have since been forgotten. The original Clash of the Titans movie was decades ago and is largely unimportant to modern audiences while the reboot was also forgotten about. The Disney Hercules movie has a following but it's still one of the only really memorable Greek myth adaptations and that's only because it was made by Disney. The Assassin's Creed games only recently started using Greek myth and even then it not only Greek myth they use. It also isn't what they are known for.

Of all these mentioned, the God of War games are the only ones that Diana really has to worry about and even then, it isn't just Greek myth.

Especially when they took a child of Zeus and plopped them in some Norse mythos... (Diana with the Chaos Blades would be kinda fun though)

We are measuring public awareness through Seinfeld now?

There won't be any decent public awareness until DC makes an effort to capitalize on WW's popularity. When her first movie came out it was the perfect opportunity to push Dr Poison. Like, give her a major role in the WW book, or give her an arc in the Justice League book where she attacks the planet with a killer virus or something, or make her a playable character in Injustice 2. But they gave us Jason instead :p

I wouldn't put a reference made in a tv show over actual shows/movies starring the character that was watched by millions of people.
