You should have read Hush befor but the best run is Paul Dini's (mainly the stories about Hush):
Batman: Detective
Batman: Death and the City
Batman: Private Casebook
Batman: Heart of Hush
Batman: Streets of Gotham, Vol. 1 – Hush Money
Batman: Streets of Gotham, Vol. 2 – Leviathan
Batman: Streets of Gotham, Vol. 3 – The House of Hush
Then I really like Dark Knight, Dark City, a bit fantastic, lots of real detective work, and a really crazy villain (The Riddler).
Then it's not really Batman but Gotham Central is also really good.
I also like Tales of the Batman: Archie Goodwin. His detective comics about Manhunter is just fantastic.
One more good serie is Arkham Asylum: Living Hell. It's about lesser known villain. With a great origin story of Humpty Dumpty.
Also a bit of Batman, I would recommand We are Robin.:
Off course I hope you've read Batman Incorporated and Batman & Robin New52. It holds one of the most tragic moment of comics.
Tell me what you've already read and what you think of it.
I have read hush I will give the hush series a look in
I have read we are robin too

The Man Who Laughs is Joker's first appearance following Year One. It's a remake of Joker's first appearance in the Golden Age but tailored to match Year One continuity and the darker depiction of Joker in The Killing Joke.
Dark Victory is the sequel to The Long Halloween. Another mystery crafted by the same team.
Under The Red Hood is the first appearance of modern Red Hood, the standard from which Red Hood portrayal is measured, and also a follow up from Hush.
Heart of Hush is the other best appearance of Hush and a follow up of Batman and Catwoman romance, considered by many to be even better than Hush.
Add my vote to Long Halloween, Gotham Central and Killing Joke.
I highly recommend Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader even though it only had two issues. Literally the best batman comic in my opinion.
Morrison's Batman run is the best I've ever read and I'm a huge Batman fan.
