Good art. Not much story though. Gotta laugh at how Batman’s Batpole has overshadowed everything else.

Eh, maybe it's cause he's not as big of a hero as Batman is in the public eye. I mean before the DC cartoons and 'Arrow' the average non comic reader wouldn't know who the hell Green Arrow is. But Batman is big news and any drastic event like this makes the papers, the news media and everything else. It's like villains die left and right, but the day DC decides to kill the Joker permanently, it'll be on all the news outlets. Or Canary could go topless for a panel, but if it's Wonder Woman, the media frenzy would never let us forget.
Such a weak response by DC. It is art and not pornographic. I mean these characters use the bathroom, and put on underwear and take showers etc. Covering them with steam, or shadows, or all the "tricks they use not to show normal nudity is weak. Especially when violence of every kind is somehow fine, but a normal body part isn't.

That is part of the problem. That this had to be a news story at all is silly. But, it is newsworthy cause the body is "bad" and should be covered up.....unless its females then its a little more accepted.
If you are going to make a special "Black label" imprint that is "gritty" and can't even stand behind showing a body part of your character after changing which is natural what is the point?
Its silly is all, you dont freak out if you go see an 18 rated movie and theres a dick. Why is everyone at DC freaking out over a dick in an 18 rated book ? I mean the obvious answer is some executive **** himself and thought that this could potentially damage the Bat-brand which in turn asks the question of why even bother using Batman ?
Personally, i didn't found it offending and i will have a solid view once i will have the novel in my possession. I am just concerned that they might have used the nudity factor just to hide other weak factors this story MIGHT have.
I did felt surprised though because DC allowed this to be released since they do have more stricted policies regarding edgy graphic depictions.
There was a rumour that DC didn't allowed graphic fatalities in the DC Vs Mortal Kombat game.
from the comment on Scott Snyder twitter when he talked about this
"I teach 4th grade. A kid heard about it on the news and asked me. ( I have a superhero themed classroom). It’s a big deal when 9 year olds are talking about it
Kids mom doesn’t want him to read Batman comics anymore. Kid friendly ones or otherwise. She clearly doesn’t understand it was aimed for adults but what do you expect. She’s just a concerned mom."
Another one
"It’s a big deal because of the way Batman is marketed. Batman is a brand that is bigger than DC. Batman is a kids property and a pop culture icon. Should never have been done IMO. What if a Star Wars comic showed Luke Skywalker’s junk? Same thing."
Now here's a good point
"It's not (a big deal), but geek media harped on it like it was a big deal and instead of sticking by their decision DC comics bowed down not to the pressure to remove it but by the buzz of headlines, and as a result even more media is picking up on the story and non-comic fans know about it."
