    Default Sales figures for July

Here are sales figures for July:
    https://www.cbr.com/batman-50-weddin...sales-chart/2/

    Amazing Spider-Man #1- 289,102
    Amazing Spider-Man #2- 113,944

    Those three are great!

    Cosmic Ghost Rider #1- 92,327
    Great start for Cosmic Rider!

Life of Captain Marvel #1- 74,298
    Carol shows some life.

    Infinity Wars Prime- 61,175
Bad start for an event book.

    Avengers vs. Justice League
Justice League #3 and #4 sold 77-81,000 copies

As has been explained many, many times, the numbers that Diamond posts are not exact figures.

Quoting them as such is simply wrong.

Not only are these numbers not exact, but they also don't include sales data outside North America or digital sales or account for additional sales on books that go to second or third printings and so on.

So, we don't really know with any authority what numbers these books are hitting.

There could be X-books that go above 50k, for all we know. Champions could be doing far better than the Diamond figures suggest.

There certainly seems to be no move to cancel Champions, with a WeirdWorld three-parter coming up, so Marvel - who actually knows what the book is really selling - is likely happy with whatever level it's performing at at the moment.

Yeah, Champions is almost certainly a strong trade seller in bookstores, like it's team members' solos (Ms Marvel, Unstoppable Wasp) are. And bear in mind Wasp got cancelled because it's floppy sales were so bad, only for it to get revived thanks to the trades. Champions is selling better than that by some distance, so it should be safe.

For a title that's not a "name" like the Teen Titans, it's probably wise to look for it being successful in a less conventional manner then other Big Two books (as with most of the young adult or younger-skewing books).

It’s interesting ASM and Cap sold so many. Those are Civil War numbers, if we are just going by Diamond figures.

Yes I know these guys are preorders yet look at Champions vol 3-4-they beat everybody listed. And the bold is a KEY demo they reach.

The comic book store and it's early ordering is NOT the end all for any book.
Champions has cast members in movies this fall. Miles, Patriot, Khan and someone else I can't think of. They should be good for at least a 7th volume.

Marvel has learned by now that a new Amazing Spider-Man #1 is basically a license to print money, but I'm both surprised and happy that Cap sold so much. Marvel was smart to position Cap as the Marvel title to pick up if you were going to the midnight release of Batman #50. I'm a little scared that the drop-off for issue #2 is going to be really steep, though.

Patriot was a guest star. Yeah, Miles has Into the Spider-Verse, and Kamala has Marvel Rising (which is just a TV movie by the way) - she's the only official Champion in it.
