I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.
This list is nonsense as Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing isn’t included.
Meh - this list is just one guy's opinion, which is all it can be.
If it was my list, Swamp Thing and Animal Man would be in, but Englehart's Batman, Green Lantern/Green Arrow, anything by John Ostrander and anything by Chris Claremont (which he said he'd put at 21) would't even make my top 100. Planetary wouldn't make my list, but Transmetropolitan or Ellis's Stormwatch might.
Starman might make my list. I need to reread it, but I remember it upping and downing a bit, and I have a feeling it might not stand up so well these days.

The one I wish I really included was GL Mosiac.
I need to read American Flag. No Starman and Hellboy huh... My number 1 always be Sandman.
(A)s I was told at the time, it didn’t fit with DC editorial vision (whatever that means). Sales didn’t matter, fan support didn’t matter; the first issue sold about 210,000 copies and my last issue sold about 70,000, so there was plenty of support for the book. It was marked for cancellation when issue #5 came out, and they allowed Gerry Jones a year to wrap it up, but there was no doubt that it was being cancelled because somebody upstairs just didn’t care for it. So, I had a feeling after a while of creatively being against a brick wall, and got out before the end. You pay your money, you takes your chances. That’s the biz.[9]
The Jones story is just bizzarre.
you should read all of these, but try to find Ms Tree as well. Great great read
Yes - I was completely wrong in this and somewhat duncelled on the topic. I will have to go back over those books and reread them. I had found them worth buying and reading but never thought enough of them to put them on the top of my stacks for reading time. But I remember folks in the comic shops being truly excited by the character, to my puzzlement.
I will need to reread and discover!
I read the complete series for the first time last year and with the exception of Waid’s Flash, which I read when as they were released, I’ve never had a comic reading experience that moved me as much as Starman did. It is a beautiful, well thought out, and great read. I’m in the middle of re-reading and In my opinion it still holds up well.......with the exception of many of Jack’s references of course However, I think it adds to the experience as Jack lives in the past anyway!
