    Default Pitch An Elseworlds Story!

Post a concept for an Elseworlds story.

For those who do not know, Elseworlds was an imprint of DC Comics dedicated to alternate scenarios featuring well known DC characters. For example Mark Millar's Superman: Red Son begged the question: "What if baby Kal El's rocket landed in The Soviet Union instead of Kansas?"

It can be drenched in detail or a mere sentence long.

Also feel inclined to list creators you would want to tell such a story.

My idea for an Elseworlds type tale would detail an alternate reality where instead of the concept of the superhero essentially becoming prevalent in the 40s with the JSA, as it was with Post Crisis continuity, superheroes always existed since humanity began. What if there were superheroes in Ancient Rome? What if there were superheroes in Medieval Times? How would this affect the modern DC Universe as we know it?

    World's F'dest Comic:

-While coming out of the movies, Baby Kal El's rocket lands on Bruce Wayne's parents!

    Or

I must be a creature of the night, black terrible, ...a, ...a, ..." - As if in answer a huge rat crawls in through the window - "A rat! That's it, an omen! I shall become...

    Or

End of the Word! Thomas Wayne- "Our son won't perish on our doomed world Martha, this rocket I built with all my wealth, in secret will take young Bruce to another planet, where...!"

I suggested a while back that there should be an ongoing of elseworld or imaginary stories.

That would be a good place for writers to put all the "deaths" they love to write about.

I had an idea for a Legion of Super Heroes storyline that kind of combined Paul Levitz's Legion with Keith Giffen's 5-Year Gap. Here's a nuts and bolts outline:

During the Great Darkness Saga, Darkseid had stolen the powers of all the major villains, leaving them powerless. As a result, the Legion disbands, realizing that the Science Police could handle things now. Brainiac 5, Dream Girl, Star Boy, and Supergirl are on Naltor while Brainy tries to save Superboy, who was severely injured during the battle with Darkseid. Brainy also develops a clone of Drake Burrogh's body for Wildfire to use as a containment suit. He can now function as a human and goes off to find Dawnstar, who has returned to Starhaven to marry another man chosen by her parents.

The Dominators have taken over Earth and are using Sun Boy and Shvaughn Erin as 'the perfect couple' to influence Earthlings to embrace their plans for Earth. The couple are actually pretending to support the aliens and are working with former heroes still living on Earth - Chameleon Boy, Colossal Boy, Element Lad, and others. Element Lad is struggling with his insecurities with Dirk and Shvaughn being together. Meanwhile, the Dominators manage to capture all the members of the Espionage Squad.

On Orando, White Witch and Blok notice distance between Karate Kid and Projectra. Yera, the Durlan actress, has actually replaced Projectra with KK's knowledge. Meanwhile Projectra has impenetrated Earthgov and is helping Sun Boy by creating all kinds of illusions that the Dominators are unaware of.

Duo Damsel is struggling. One of her selves is very much in love with Bouncing Boy. However, her other self has never gotten over Superboy. She is also on Naltor to be by his side. The separation has broken BB's heart and the two selves being separated has caused some health issues for DD. They must make a permanent decision of who to be with.

With Darkseid's disappearance, the villains all begin to get their powers back. On Winath, Lightning Lord attacks Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl, Cosmic, Boy, Night Girl, Light Lass, and Timberwolf. Other villains begin to attack other planets as well. Mon El, and Shadow Lass return to Earth with news of all the villains they have encountered and defeated.

The Espionage Squad manages to escape as the Legion slowly comes back together. With a cured and healthy Superboy, the Legion defeat the Dominators, who have planted bombs all over the Earth. Their plan all along was to destroy Earth and all humans.

Once the Legion dismantles all the bombs, they realize it's time for the ultimate battle as Mordru has returned with all of his powers renewed. And he's not happy.

There's more, but that's some of the major points.

I'd want to see the Bat-family in a revenge/murder plot against Bruce Wayne for ruining their childhoods.

An Elseworlds story where Batman accepts Ra's offer of succession, and w ever to see what Batman as the Head of the Demon is like. I basically envision it as largely being an inverse of the Injustice universe: instead of having an evil Superman quickly, proudly, and publicly establish himself as the ruler of the world, and evil Batman tried to quietly compromise, convert or incapacitate whatever stands in his way. Superman? Tricked into the Phantom Zone with Lois Lane after she starts to sniff out how creepily uniform some new government regimes have been getting. Wonder Woman? Challenged and replaced by Artemis, with Diana now living in exile. Flash? Constantly hounded day and night by an army of Speed Demons. Green Lantern? Engaged in a jurisdiction fight across the entire sector with Red Lantern Guy Gardner and Sinestro Corpsman Amon Sur. Aquaman? Imprisoned by his brother in exchange for lethal enforcement of some of the Atlanteans' foreign policies.

Basically, the world is under Batman's control, with his opposition being the young guys in the Teen Titans and Young Justice, with their goal being to free up the older heroes, especially Superman, to track down the constantly hidden Batman and overthrow him.

Oh, and since Batman killed Joker, Harley Quinn's become the ruthlessly effective Gotham based terrorist, in the way where she seems frighteningly more competent than Joker ever was.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?

I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP

I like the elseworlds/imaginary stories. Either by a change in continuity or by an historical setting.
One would like to see is a teenage Justice League lead by a debuting Superboy, and composed by Aqualad (Arthur), Wonder Girl (Diana) and Robin (Bruce).

I really would like to read somethinglike that. The trope of Superman as a tyrant is already too much use. Batman always has been pretty much close to abuse his position but there are less stories about that. Specially considering than in continuity he has made worse things (OMAC project and Tower of Babel).

A less trustworthy, more authoritative Justice league?

"The Legion of Detectives" - Teen heroes of the 31st century form a club based on the exploits of BATMAN and start a "detective club" - they then time travel to the past and recruit a young Bruce Wayne to be part of their team... (only occasionally though)

When a Prince of the earth relam, Bruce wayne watches his parents assassinated by an known assailant. He pledges his life to finding out who killed them. Will each step unit the three realms, or lead to their destruction?????
