I like Johnny from Waid's run on The Flash. He made a great team with Jay and Max, all of them were a different kind of speedster. It was sad when he died during Savitar's story, I like him more than Jesse.
Two issues after Johnny stared his More Fun run, Aquaman and Green Arrow would also join the book as co-features. Johnny even got a couple (three, to be exact) cover appearances during that time.
Starting with More Fun Comics #101, Superboy would also be featured, but after issue #107 (cover-dated January-February 1946), Johnny Quick, Aquaman, Green Arrow, and Superboy moved to Adventure Comics (starting with issue #103, cover-dated April 1946).
Johnny's last regular appearance in Adventure was issue #207 (December 1954).
After that, he made occasional reprint appearances . . . until 1978.
from from Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe Vol. XI (January 1986):
One of the many interesting things to me about Johnny was that he survived into the 50s as a published character -- that's impressive.
