Cyclops was SO DAMN RIGHT, BABY
Pull list: X-23, Mr. & Mrs. X, Extermination, Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider, Uncanny X-Men
Have been informed that the Black Swans are "only seeking female members, but thank you very much for your time"
It's another relaunch by any other name. I just hope marvel follows in the steps of NewMutantsDeadSouls, X:Red, Rogue/Gambit, Multiple Man, X23 and keeps up with that kind of quality instead of getting stuff like Gold/Blue & soule's Astonishing it was all such a mess.
I’d like to see Storm and Kurt leading a team of James Ptoudstar, Teresa Cassidy, and X-23.
I feel like we maybe expecting a massive culling of X-men related characters either being killed almost similar to the way it happen Post M-day or just limbo for a good while. This way it would lead to a limited team books with the occasional Wolverine and X-23 books included.
When I think about continuity issues, I think of this Matt Fraction quote.
https://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/03...-is-the-devil/
Continuity should be a tool, not a shackle.Fraction: Consistency over continuity. Continuity is the devil. Its all just trivia. You read in one comic he doesn’t like ham sandwiches, and in another he does. Who cares? That’s just trivia, and doesn’t matter to the character overall. Time isn’t really time in comics, so we can’t worry about why he’s here in one book, there in another. Or else I would be wondering why Franklin is still 8 and Julie Powers is in college. Its just trivia, and alienating to new readers.
Continuity is one thing, continuation is another. Fraction's comparison falls flat there. No one cares about "trivia". People care when you do, say, or change something that completely and fundamentally alters a character. Ignoring Kurt's favorite color doesn't matter. Ignoring that Alex was altered in AXIS, then not, then altered again matters. Ignoring major character developments just makes every run before yours 100% pointless, and a waste of the reader's time.
Grant Morrison talked about this same subject when he was on New X-men. Fraction's quote is good but it is not an original idea. I doubt if it was original to Morrison either. The books need super consistency and not to be overly consumed by massive continuity.
Morrison and Fraction are more like the continuity that exists doesn't fit my view of the characters, so I will pick and choose
