THE CBR COMMUNITY STANDARDS & RULES ~ So... what's your excuse now?
Best way to make someone forget about what a person wrote-get someone to surpass that work.
When you think Black Panther-who thinks of Kirby's run? Everyone thinks PRIEST.
So for John & Guy-especially John since Jones did his only solo book-someone is going to have to do a solo run with John and probably Guy too.
Lets see if it's made CLEAR his stuff would NEVER sniff reprints and lets not forget GL Mosaic has NEVER been in trade.Plus, who would buy it at this point?
You don't think those issues would SKYROCKET in price? Especially if John Stewart gets in a film?
How many folks besides ME has that complete run?
How many times have we seen books skyrocket on RUMORS?
No, they probably can't. When someone becomes a criminal they don't lose there right to earn a living or to copyrights they own, or their rights under business contracts.
DC can take their share of any profits and do that if they wish.
In 7 years, this fellow will be sprung out of jail, and monitored and in therapy with his debt to society paid in full. You aren't allowed to stone him, or take his ability to make money away, or to prevent him from writing etc. You might not like it, but that is how the judicial system in the US works.
They can't avoid it and they won't lose the profits either. In a few months the anger wil die down and the publishing aspect will be business as usual. It is not DC's fault that one of their writers went criminally insane and decided that sex with children was marketable idea. and the material jones wrote for dc was in no way criminally exploitative

although frankly, I hope they don't revisit Emerald Dawn. I never liked the storyline or dragging Hal Jordan through the depressive mud like they did.
Child Pornography? Put him under the jail
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
DC: Currently figuring that out
Marvel: Read above
Image: Killadelphia, Nightmare Blog
Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8
They'll reprint his work at some point. And further, I think they should. If the topic is "Jones, the man", then obviously he's a despicable human being. No argument can be made otherwise. If the topic is "Jones, the author & comic creator", then his work shouldn't be hidden away. There's so much in this world we would have to hide/destroy if we held all fiction/art accountable for the despicable actions of their creators. 'Through the Looking Glass' was famously written by a guy with a disgusting relationship/obsession to an underage girl, for example. We should not celebrate these people, but we can still enjoy their work.
Jones wrote a good comic. Gunn made good movies, Gibson made movies that live in cinematic history, we all still eat at Subway. That's just my thoughts on it, anyway.
"Darkseid...always hated music..."
Every post I make, it should be assumed by the reader that the following statement is attached: "It's all subjective. What works for me doesn't necessarily work for you, and vice versa, and that's ok. You may have a different opinion on it, but this is mine. That's the wonderful thing about being a comics fan, it's all subjective."
Jared Fogel, their old spokesperson (large man who lost weight eating at Subway), is currently serving prison time for Statutory and child pornography. It may have been a stretch for me to mention Subway, now that I think of it :P
I should have said "many of us still enjoy Kevin Spacey films, even though Spacey's who he is."

I would totally buy them. Green Lantern #25 Hal vs. Guy was one of my first modern Green Lantern books and cemented my Hal Fandom. His Hal was always one of my all time favorite characters ever. His John and Guy I consider to be the definitive versions of the characters. Everything after Parallax just feels like a retconned and retooled versions of the characters to fit whatever agenda the writers wanted to exploit... but the GL characters in the 90's actually felt like they were the natural extensions of the characters in the 80's and the characters in the 70's...
And there are a LOT of holes in my collections. If they gave me a chance to replace and complete those runs, I'd be all about it. Besides... I absolutely LOVE M.D. Bright's artwork. My favorite Hal artist ever.
Reality is the guy is a horrendous and horrible human being who should rot in prison.... but I don't base my collecting habits on people's personal lives. I probably would never buy anything NEW from him and want him out of the industry, but I'm not rewriting the past to punish him.
