I'm kind of ignorant, but how do the Shi'ar reproduce? Could that egg be the next in line to the Shi'ar throne?

Deathbird was pregnant not to long ago (with Vulcan's baby), so that makes me guess they give birth the same way as humanoids from Earth.

See I was wondering about this because it seems like there was a huge room full of Shi'ar eggs in what they were calling a nursery in those issues when Gambit and Rogue with Joseph, Beast, and Bishop end up in space fighting the Phalanx. Buuuuttttt, a Shi'ar human hybrid. . . I dunno HOW that works. If would seem to me like it probably wouldn't work, but if it did . . . Would have to be an egg?
