To add to the discussion on psychics recreating bodies for themselves or repairing bodies.

Jean: Originally, Jean reached her full potential, became a being of psionic energy, recreated her body, and became Jean/Phoenix. The retconned version states that Phoenix/Jean duplicated Jean's body.

Charles: Possessed Fantomex's body to come back to life as X, changing Fantomex's body to look like a younger version of his original self.

Madelyne Pryor: Repaired Sebastian Shaw's face when he had a scar in the X-man series. She also repaired Chimera's gut wound in Uncanny X-men.

Nate Grey: Reconstituted himself back into corporeal form after splitting his essence into all beings on Earth.

And then of course what was listed earlier with Shadow King and Rachel.

Wasn't Chamber supposed to be capable of rebuilding his body out of the psionic energy he generates? He just never got enough control over his powers to do so permanently.

And it's really not that different from what Iceman does. He turns his body into some sort of organic ice, creates ice clones, get his original body destroyed, then possesses one of those ice clones and turns it into a flesh and blood copy of his human body.

Hmm it's not unreasonable to think that the "spirits" contained within Styx lend their energy or whatever to Betsy in exchange for her freeing them by destroying their jailer, which she basically did at the end of issue 3 when we see Styx blow up. In the process Betts recreates her original body using the psychic energies contained within Styx. Et voilą, our lady in pink is back.

Then again why would she recreate her original body instead of the Asian one...

I forgot about Jono and yes, he was stated to have the potential to do so.

True. Once a psychic has access to enough energy, they can achieve some awesome feats. This wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility.

I guess we're just going to have to wait and see...won't we. Yeah, it's pretty much a shoe in about Betsy's new/old/new bod. (Or is it Old/New/Old bod? ) But remember in part 4 of Adamantium Agenda, 2 things came out. 1.Mr.Sinister's "sleeper" agent. 2. Laura's "true" parental heritage.

No, Chamber did create a perfect new body for himself when D'Spayre and he blew up, but like one second after he was reformed, his face blew off again. I attribute that to some psychosomatic flaw(or rather the writers just not letting him move past his iconic image).

Exactly. You get a chance at coming back to reality as you, that you were born as, but Hell I'll CHOOSE to be Asian for shits and giggles.
I don't think he see's how that would be even worse than being put into an Asian body.

Because she's had the choice before and chose the Asian body, and again why wouldn't she just come back as she's been for the last several decades, it's the face in the mirror that she's seen every day for years so then why change out of the blue...

Let's say Betsy is 35. 1990 was probably about 5 or 6 years ago in-universe. So she woke up to her Anglo face everyday for 30 years. She woke up to her Asian face(which was forced upon her by various villains) for like 5. Of course she'd make her original body(not to mention it's in her subconscious).

Plus she's never had that choice before. All she had were villains offering her real body in exchange for doing something for them (being the Red Queen's brainless puppet, allowing Jamie to murder Fantomex, helping Casandra to unleash the Great Corruption, etc.).

Im not sure if she's ever really expressed children but as a woman if she does, she'd likely want her kids to have her genetics. Look like her and her family

One thing that always struck me as interesting. After Betsy's initial change to that of an East Asian woman, her psychic image changed along with it. You'd think that after her brainwashing was broken, she'd at least look like her original self in her mind. The only explanation I can think of is that she was the person she yearned to be in both looks and skill. Although that was the original story about her wish fulfillment.

But we know the real truth is because her new look was received very well.

WhiteQueenEmmaFrost - So far, it doesn't seem like she's any different from Selene. Although no one can usurp Selene's spot as a near immortal, life-force stealing, vampire.
