Default LONG OVERDUE sequels you wanna see?

What are some sequels you'd like to see for 80's/90's (70's?) movies you watched as kid?

    Goonies ; the next generation?

Mac and Me 2 : Boy and alien grow up and become McDonald's executives?

    and YOU?

I'm not a huge fan of these decades-later sequels.

That said, since Hollywood's going to keep digging out old properties, a modern Bad News Bears might be interesting in the era of insane, competitive parents.

(Thanks for the speedy reply!) yeah, these sorta films are better imagined than created.

Jackie Earle Haley in a Bad New bears sequel would be cool.

Robocop returns : reboot that forgets 2-3, the remake and TV shows. Either Peter Weller as an aging Robo or Vision-guy from Avengers as Murphy/Robocop. Dark satire and lotsa over the top violence..

also - a Natalie Portman sequel to Leon...

Honestly, almost nothing from that time is going to get a sequel worth a nickel and a sandwich out of today's landscape.

The one possible exception would be letting Refn make a direct sequel to Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation.

I wanted a sequal to Godzilla vs King Kong. I always thought Godzilla got jobbed.

Pretty sure we're going to get it though, given the recent Godzilla and King Kong stuff we're getting so I'm happy.

That's already in the works. It's called Robocop Returns and Neill Blomkamp will be directing.

Blompkamp was also involved with "Alien 5", which, like the upcoming Terminator movie, would ignore everything after 2. However, FOX decided to favor Ridley's prequels instead.

Richard Linklater directed a Bad News Bears remake with Billy Bob Thornton back in '05.

There's been talk of a Goonies reunion for quite a while. Although I'm not sure if they'd be able to get most of the original cast. Astin, Brolin, Plimpton, Feldman etc are still busy (especially Brolin), but the rest I think have moved on. Most of the adult actors in the film I think have passed with the exception of Davi and Joey Pants.

The Last Starfighter.... I need more. Hell, I would appreciate a comic series at this point.

I recently watched LITTLE CHILDREN (2006) and when I checked IMDb to see what else Jackie Earle Haley had been in, I was surprised to find he was one of the four Cutters in BREAKING AWAY (1979)--wow, what a change! But there was something a little bit off about Moocher, even back then. I absolutely loved BREAKING AWAY when it came out in 1979 and I identified with the four Cutters, went to see that movie several times when it was in the theatre. It would be wonderful to get a sequel, with the original four actors now--Dennis Christopher, Dennis Quaid, Daniel Stern and Jackie Earle Haley. Unfortunately the director, Peter Yates, and the writer, Steve Tesich, have both passed away--but maybe someone else could pick up this vehicle and carry it over the finish line.
