    Default Spider-Man/Deadpool #37 - Now, that's a knife!

Master Matrix might be the most powerful android on Earth, but it’s a total amateur at personhood. Who better to teach it how to be a human being than SPIDER-MAN and DEADPOOL?! It’s “My Two Super-Dads”! Aren’t the best parents always trying to settle old grudges through their children?
Run of the mill this time 'round.

How is this title doing in sales? It's a shame, given Deadpool's contradticting status quo in other titles, that this book does not feel as part of the shared universe as it should. Oh, it tries with Bobbi added, but it doesn't cut it, imo. And speaking of cut -the other thing with this ish- in what world would Spidey agree to carry around a Croc Dundee knife with intention to destroy a fellow superhero with it (not to mention his parents protege project: Master Matrix). And for that matter, strapping it to his leg under his spandex is unconvincing on a couple levels. Finally, recycling the Wrecking Crew in a generic appearance for the umpteenth time felt really tired.

The spider books aren't set at the same time. SMDP is still set before Go Down Swinging (and before the last arc of Despicable Deadpool, so there's no contradiction), because as you point out, he's still dating Mockingbird. Spectacular is set between Slott and Spencer's ASM runs. ASM is set after everything else.
