    Default IDW Reprints and Collections

What IDW reprints and collections have you been reading or want to discuss?

    http://www.idwpublishing.com/news/article/2852/

IDW recently set up a new imprint called EuroComics run by Dean Mullaney from the Library of American Comics, designed to reprint European comics in English, starting with the complete Corto Maltese.

In addition we have IDW's IDW edition hardcovers of TMNT, Transformers and GI Joe

I just preordered the TMNT volume

Anyone know if/when IDW plans on releasing the new TMNT series in OHC format like they do with GI Joe and Transformers? Seems like they're far enough along to warrant these (not to mention the microseries). I did just notice some of the heroes micro series has been collected for October release, seems like a weird place to start considering they do their other series chronologically (though i imagine these stories are self contained).

The only books I've picked up are the GI Joe Complete Collections and the first two X-Files Classics volumes. They're all of excellent quality, and great values for the price.

I've been checking my pre-orders. And from IDW are :

    - Locke & Key Slipcase Set
    - Kill Shakespeare: Backstage Edition Volume 1
    - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The IDW Collection Volume 1
    - Red Star: Deluxe Edition Volume 1

    Not a pre-order, but in my amazon's cart :

    - In The Dark: A Horror Anthology

And already on my shelf :

    - Ghostbusters: Total Containment

Some other stuff from IDW that I already have are those little omnibus (Silent Hill, Zomnibus, Clive Barker). It's a good size and thick enough to read in flights (for instance).

I've got the newer editions of the Classics Transformers and all of the Classic G.I. Joe trades. The Complete Collection HCs are great!
I'm just now getting the TMNT HC sets, and am really impressed with the notes by Eastman & Laird.
I'm really disappointed in the Archie TMNT Adventures reprints. $20 for 4 issues and poor, poor paper. I've got the originals that look better than these...kinda confused as to why these are so poor.

I've been tempted to give GI Joe a shot, but there are so many different titles on the shelves. I have no idea where to start or what's good.

That's the same way I felt, and why I decided to go with the classic collections of the 80's Marvel series. There have been so many relaunches/volumes in recent years (both by IDW and other publishers) it's definitely hard to keep track.

If you are cool with old school art and writing styles, I highly recommend these books. The quality is top-notch.

Well, the IDW Collection OHCs kinda take the guesswork out of things. They collect every title of the G.I.JOE IDW relaunch, in order.
So if you only get these, then you will get all 3 "seasons" eventually if they keep printing them.

And for the previous question about the Cobra Last Laugh OHC, yes, those issues will be in the IDW Complete Collection OHCs. They will be mixed in with the various G.I.Joe comics that came out that the same time, so reading it that way could be somewhat disjointed. The cool thing about the Last Laugh OHC is it's JUST the Cobra series, all in chronological reading order. It's an excellent read, reads really fast ( I couldn't put it down) and you don't really need to know what's going on in the other G.I.Joe books at the time to enjoy the Cobra OHC.

Also, the classic 80's books and the IDW collection books are great builds - solid bindings, I had no issues with gutter loss, paper is nice and thick, the printed covers / dust jacket-less covers are real nice. I love these books.
"Boomerang arrow, Kate... It comes back to you in the end. Boomerang. Respect it." - Clint
"Why the hell do you need an arrow that comes back to you after you shoot it, Clint?" - Kate
    "Because... Boomerangs." - Clint.

Default When is IDW going to release the Rom collected editions?

I thought it was going to be this summer but I can't seem to find anything on it.

Could anyone be so kind as to help me out with a TPB reading order for the ongoing Turtles series? I've got everything sitting and ready to go but have no idea where to start with all the microseries and crossover trades and where they fit in.

TMNT Entity has an issue by issue break down but really if you don't have to break it down issue by issue. I read each trade as they were released and I don't remember and spoilers or "this happened in this issue" kinda stuff.

If you don't like the issue by issue list I read them like this and I don't remember having any problems

    Change is constant
    Micro series volume 1
    Enemies old enemies new
    Shadows of the past
    Micro series volume 2
    Sins of the fathers
    Krang war
    Secret history of the foot
    2012 annual
    City fall part 1
    Villains micro 1
    City fall 2
    Villains 2
    North Hampton
    Utrom empire
    Monsters misfits and madmen
    2014 annual
    Turtles in time
    New mutant order
    Tmnt/ghost busters
    Attack on technodrome
    Mutanimals
    Vengeance 1
    Vengeance 2

The great and secret show is a good read with fantastic art but not sure if it's worth the upgrade to deluxe over the regular hc, not with IDW prices, anyone have an opinion on the Edward scissorhands book?
