When it comes to comics, one person's "fan-service" is another persons personal cannon. So by definition it's ALL fan service. Aren't we ALL fans?
SUPERMAN is the greatest fictional character ever created.
Maybe this is a sly tease for the Injustice 3 roster?
We've already gotten characters from Mortal Kombat, Hellboy, and the Ninja Turtles. Why not He-Man in the next one? Game doesnt really have a "barbarian" archetype (unless you count Ares from the first installment).
And honestly, the Injustice connection is the only reason I'd even consider buying this mini. I haven't cared for He-Man since I was 4, but the fact that this is building off Clark's Injustice 2 ending has my interest enough to maybe get the trade. If this was just "regular" Superman? I wouldn't even consider it.
"We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another, as if we were one single tribe."
~ Black Panther.
I'm glad that through the awkward preface (one of the beat alive on the planet, lol) Maggin did throw a nod to Bates and Wein also. He has always seemed like a good guy for conversation, hope I get to talk to him about specifics someday.
Superman is my favorite literary character and I refuse to watch a Superman story just to make fun of him or any meme/Internet joke that puts Superman in a demeaning, uncomfortable position just to prop up other characters. I love and respect Superman too much for that kind of stuff.
He used a Marvel storyboard for that
No, I meant at the begging of phase 7. Can't wait to see Superman in the Marvel universe.
And to think that it could've happened in the 80s: https://comicbook.com/2015/01/04/the...ght-dc-comics/
