Haven't bumped this thread for a while although as one of the last posts here was the theory of the merger:

No matter how many reboots, new origins, reinterpretations or suit redesigns. In the end, he will always be SUPERMAN

And THAT'S why Lex fist-fighting Superman in power-armor is a silly idea.

Actually, I love the War-verse Superman. He's remarkably competent. I wish he'd get a solo film. Maybe change his outfit to the Reborn one.

Since the recent Batman animated films featured Damien, now is the perfect time for Jon to make his animated debut.

agree....in my opinion jon is more well written at this point than damien was at the same time as his debut....i wouldn't oppose jon being part of young justice

it means that the relationship with connor will be challenged...what is his place in the family when jon is his supermans real son and clarks's "golden boy"

I don't see why he would. Clark and Conner have a pretty brotherly relationship. If anything, I want to see Jon treat Kon-El and Mon-El as Uncles! And of course, I want him to be called "Jon-El" himself, as a result of a misunderstanding in Kandor or something like that.

As for bringing Jon to animation, I'd like to see Kal himself get more time in the spotlight- like "Son of Batman", I think a movie introducing Jon would inevitably make him the main character over his Dad. Besides, the comics continuity getting screwed over by Jon is one thing, but I don't think the War-verse is well established enough to make that jump. Maybe introduce Jon in the world of Superman vs. The Elite or Superman Unbound?

A sweet remake of a classic cover:

No matter how many reboots, new origins, reinterpretations or suit redesigns. In the end, he will always be SUPERMAN

I especially like how they will able to capture the squinted eyes look the character had back then.

yeah, noticed he's got those in the recent Super-sons preview from Jiminez too. I think someone here made a comparison to John Wayne's eyes.

Yeah, I can definitely see the comparison although a much younger early Western era John Wayne fits the bill better than the more iconic middle age John Wayne.

Some much needed Post-COIE (Iron Age) cover art love:

The Iron Age had some very underrated Superman artwork going for it.

They sure did, I loved Bog's Golden Age inspired look he gave the character.

I really liked Superman putting Damian in his place.

Wow, didn't expect to see my thread bumped but it's awesome either way.
