Default Who is the loner of X-Men?

Is it Cyclops or Wolverine? I am more inclined to think that it's Cyclops as he never has established any lasting relationship beyond Jean and possibly Emma as cable has never been as close to him as he would have liked just like his own father. the same goes for Rachael whereas Wolverine has formed much more lasting relationships with alpha flight jubilee Jean mariko Laura Deadpool etc. for him to remain the loner he was. funny isn't it how close he follows the Batman loner archetype who is surrounded by family and close associates. anyway who do you think is the loner of the x men? a argument could be made that they are all loners isolated from humanity but who do you specifically think is a loner/misanthrope?

Wolverine is the default answer, but frankly he is loner in the same way than Batman is. Cable is probably the closest to that considerong how many times he is busy with his own **** and agenda outside the group.

Wolverine, which is weird because he is everybody best friend.
Cable likes to keep his distance so he is a loner too, it's just that the relationships he has are good.
Emma never got close with many outside Cyclops, so maybe she counts too.

People will say it’s wolverine but I don’t think so. They guy is in every marvel group and he seems to get along with almost everyone. People think wolverine is a loner just cuz he’s an ass and has a bitchy attitude. Whereas Cyclops is the real loner, his friend circle is tight .. only Jean n Emma were close to him. He seems like introvert, and he’s don’t share or whine a lot. He’s suffering from crippling social anxiety or sth xD

    Warren.

Especially now. He never says anything and you never see him have much meaningful interactions.

It ain't Wolverine, that's for sure. DC pulls the same bullshit with Batman. Well, at least Batman doesn't go around saying "Nobody knows you like I do." to everyone.

That has little to do with being lonely. He's a team guy. Is he a people guy? I don't think so.

That's an interesting question. I want to say Wolverine because of how vocal he is about not wanting to be around people/not caring about people, but at the end of the day he is a team player and I think most of the writers who worked on Wolverine books presented that rough exterior as a defense mechanism. Sabretooth might be more of a loner than Wolverine.
And I think Cyclops was originally not a loner personality-wise (maybe more of an introvert), but leadership and tough decisions gradually isolate him from the others.
In the end, I think who is a loner and who isn't kind of depends on who is writing the characters and how their personality traits are interpreted.
