That what I was thinking. If it is happening, Xavier might have done it to keep things more peaceful. One less reason for another schism from Scott and Logan. Then again, it seems a bit far fetched for a theory, but Xavier isn't the same man he used to be.

He would have to manipulate Scott into being okay with this.

That's interesting. She was married with a kid. I hope it's not them. Hickman having her planning to have Proteus made uncomfortable because it was bad marriage. It also made Legion's conception creepy, but I think he tried to conceive himself at one point that's out the window already.


If there is a rectangle, I understand why Emma wouldn't want to live with them, but I hope it isn't Jean/Wolverine/Cyclops and Emma is there, too. It's no fun unless everyone is on equal footing! I don't understand why Havok would want to live with everyone (my nightmare) or why they live where Jean/Phoenix killed herself.

I do think they are together but I fail to see the appeal or purpose of that.
I mean at most is "Jean is banging Cyclops and Wolverine lolz" or "Cyclops is doing Jean and Emma", okay then it is finally done, it happened, now what?
They are with many people and?
Marvel will eventually break all relationships probably faster if they are shared this way (hopeful not equally humilliating as the last time). So in the future people will say that they were together at the same time and that's it. No real meaning or development beyond the "lolz"
This will very probably end with they all breaking up with each other anyway and probably looking worst (I mean people are already slut shamming Jean and Cyclops again, that is kind of the only consecuence of this in the long run)

• Outlines any discernible logic as to why Polyamorous relationships would lack substance or staying power any more than straight relationships in comics

As for the appeal, I can't answer for everybody.
I didn't think I would personally enjoy it, but I'm fully on-board now.
And I can't really qualify why.

Maybe it's the novelty.
Maybe it's a fresh and exciting out to the tired old triangle/quadrangle.
Or Maybe I've grown kinkier in my old age.

At any rate, I don't think Hickman is going to expressly illustrate or elaborate on the situation, unfortunately.

I don't think polyamory is bad on itself or that the people or characters that do it are bad or don't love truly. But I just don't think it is something that these characters need.

And I'm sorry becuase I have been very hard with that without considering how you or other people that are open to it could feel.
