Well, that definitely sounds like a solution to end the "rectangle", but as you mentioned, Marvel wouldn't do it. I'm not sure how I'd feel about it either.

I was leaning more towards a middle ground in ideology/views of the "rectangle", but I think I already know the answer: Scott is the problem.

To be fair, there is only like 3 or 4 Jean fans here that dislike Scott and want him away of Jean forever, Spirit being the most vocal. In theory, the best solution would be to show why Jean and Scott feel in love with each other, as another user said, if you want people to love a characther, show why others characthers in universe like him, is the reason of why the Jubilee and Nightcrawler fans don't have a problem with Wolverine unlike pretty much every other fanbase in this forum, becuase the bond between those characther is possitive and mutually beneficial.

But even if Jean and Scott got that, you would still find haters.

After her marriage to Vision, Wanda is prepared to deal with people who do not express their feelings. And after being married to Jean, Scott knows what it is like to be with someone with such great power that it can corrupt. Both have gone through similar experiences and can have an interesting love / hate dynamic.

Nah, it would be creppy. I think Scott is basically the closest thing to a figure of authority and respect that Magik has other than Dr Strange.
