I miss the old vote for the Batman trade polls which use to be a regular occurrence on this forum so let's do it again!
Vote for your top twenty favourite Batman books (labelled 1-20) and at the end I will count them up and put up the results, no.1 will get twenty points and so on until no.20 gets 1 point. I will close it off on the 30th Sep so there's over a month to think about it and for irregular poster to have a say too.
I'm trying to follow the old rules as close as possible which were;
Must be a Collected formatIf you've read the story in single issues then that's fine, however you'll need to vote for it in Collected format. For instance a vote for ""the Greg Rucka Detective run" is probably best matched by Murderer/Fugitive or Batman Evolution. Otherwise OGN's, sequential collections, anthologies...all good.
Vote for your favourite books, not the "most important"The IGN list explains this perfectly; "Sometimes too much importance is placed on the significance of a story rather than the quality of the storytelling. A story needs to be compelling beyond just the plot twists. It's not enough just to be a good read, each of these books must linger in our memories." You get the idea.
Group VotingThis is to simplify your list when it comes to multi-volume stories, runs, collections etc. Group Voting means that if you're choosing No Mans Land, for example, you don't need to use up four positions to include the whole thing, and you don't need to pick your favourite volume at the expense of the rest. Therefore a vote for Batman Eternal Vol.1 will also count for "Batman Eternal" as a whole, or a vote for Batman Reborn is a vote for the entire "Grant Morrison Batman & Robin" run. This also means you can't stack a submission with more than one type of book or anything too closely related. Just so we’re *absolutely clear* on this part, please refer to list below; if it has a parenthesis alongside then it's part of a Group - multiple votes from one Group cannot be counted.
