I agree that Sage would be a great addition to this team. Especially since they have so much brute force, it'd be nice to add a telepath. And I love the fact that her and Ali have history with each other so it'd be great to see them interact again as well.

The only writer who gave a damn about Sage was Claremont because she was his creation. No one else wants to touch her. You're lucky we still get Dazzler.

No there's not, not if the writers aren't interested. It's White's job to make sure that the books are consistent and follow continuity, not to force characters onto writers.

I hope it leads to her being phased out as a leader. I never bought the idea that the chain of inheritance didn't include going through the O5 and "giant sized" xmen first before getting to Kitty.

Nightcrawler, or Warren would've been better choices for headmaster. Warren would have his money to back to the school and nightcrawler it would be refreshing to have someone who didn't look normal as the "face" of the Xavier school. Kitty could've lead the Younger mutants on a different team. There are a lot of missed opportunities in the Xbooks.

I think one of the issues with the school set-up is the assumption that the headmaster of the school should also be the leader of the X-Men, and really, those are jobs with two different skill-sets involved. Those two positions need to be more divorced from each other.

Dont act like editors dont force characters onto writers. Bunn has been explicit about thats how he got the O5 even though he wasnt interested in writing them. Editors have the power to mandate writers take on characters whether they want to or not. Thats always been the case. Kelly and Seagle were forced to take on the Excalibur refugees in the mid 90s which disrupted their run bc editorial made them. Claremont and Simonson added Dazzler and Boom Boom to their respective books in the 80s bc editorial made them. White can give Sage a home if he wants to. Despite liking her though, she doesnt seem to be much of a priority

Well, he already said that he wasn't going to force his preference in the books. Time will tell, if he is going to stick with his promise or not.

This, and also, Bunn got hired to specifically write the O5. He could have just as easily not written Blue if he hadn't wanted to, but he wanted to keep writing Magneto. That was his choice. Editorial had been looking for someone to write the O5.
