I didn't know those novels, but hey, now I have yet more books to read. Thanks!

(Is this the same Monk than the Tv series? And, btw: that "changing him" was actually meant to be "chasing him")

Because it's also short for Richard and it'd be miles better than being called Dick.

I think quite a few people tried their best to forget about the Finches' Wonder Woman.

I didn't realize eye masks were a type of body armor.
Heck, I thought masks were to protect secret identities! (I know, such a dated concept that's so last century!)
In the terrible Titans/YJ Graduation Day story Dick had an armored version of his stylized domino mask. It was also shattered.

What's wrong with Dick? It's classic.

Interesting that this comes out less than a week after the Annual, in which Dick asks Barbara to look into the possibility of implanting triggers in his mind to mask the sensitivitie information he's privy to in case he gets compromised....

No, the Inspector Monk novels are a series set in London back in the mid-19th century.

It's also outdated. If he was created today he wouldn't be called that. It's the reason Richard Rider/Nova's nickname is Rich (he debuted in the 1970s, it was already outdated back then!). Honestly, it makes more sense for Mr Grayson to just be called Richard. The only reason he's still called Dick is grandfather clause.

Dick's a fine name and it's not gonna change anytime soon.

I'm not saying it was a good idea to do it again, just that it makes sense given what we know about king's plan for Batman. I wouldn't be surprised if something similar ends up happening to the Batgirl, Teen Titans and/or Rhato titles before king's 100 issue run is over.

Im not sure Bane is targeting the Bat family per se, but more just the people Batman really care about. People who emotionally support him, or can emotionally support him. I could actually see this culminating into something happening to Alfred.

After what happened with the wedding, I wouldn't put much faith in seeing the various books really linked to whatever King is doing further than the basic initial plot points that will put certain characters there, and the most final consequences of his story. I think that incident made clear to which point the books are coordinated (not much it seems).
