Default Favorite Superhero or Villain Costume

Superman definitely and with or without trunks. Depends on the artist, but his suit is just perfect and amazing with those colors.

Also love Wonder Woman's new suit in the movies. I'll think of more.

Totally impractical, but Catwoman with the purple dress and green cape.
Wonder Woman's in the Wonder Woman movie.
    Batman 1989 movie.
I like the movie and TV Supergirl. Her costume pairs well with a Superman with red trunks.
    Riddler on Gotham.

One of the reasons I got into Green Lantern in the first place was because that combination of green, black (not gray) and white in those ratios was very attractive to my eye. Kane's design was improved when they took away the green from the crotch.

Always thought Hawkman and Batman had the two greatest looks in all comics.

I'm also especially fond of Dr. Fate and Hourman (especially as drawn by Perez), and really like The (Ray Palmer) Atom as well.

For dudes, I like simpler streamlined two-tone costumes like Green Lantern, Nightwing or Booster Gold. Dr. Fate, IMO, is one of the few male designs that looks amazing with a cape (and would look pretty terrible without it, because of that helmet).

For ladies, I like busier costumes, like Wonder Woman's more armored looks, or Donna Troi's 'Troia' costume with the starfield elements, or Kate Spencer's Manhunter look. That said, some simpler outfits, like Catwoman's more modern black leather catsuit, or Black Canary or Zatanna's fishnets-and-jackets looks, are also favorites.

I'm not a fan of baggy loose-fitting costumes or big clunky square-shouldered jackets, such as occasionally appeared in the '90s. It doesn't need to be painted-on, but I prefer a sleeker profile on my implausibly-fit fantasy peeps who never go to the gym and eat whatever the heck they want.

I like the classic Hal Jordan Green Lantern costume, as drawn by Gil Kane and Sid Greene. Not the first costume, but the later version (circa 1965) that covers the shoulders. I think that's the perfect super-hero costume.

Starman's costume (Jack Knight). He had the perfect combination of leather jacket, goggles and the staff complimented it to make it amazing.

I would say the character with the best costume as well as a long history is easily Batman. Superman's always looked cartoony to me.

I have to say, I do like the T-shirt and Jeans look for Superman myself. as much as I like the formal armor and Reborn suits.
