Bat-Meatloaf is the stuff of nightmares

But it's also very appropriate!
Anyway, I celebrated Batman Day by going to Barnes & Noble and picking up the free copy of Batman Endgame Special Edition
They also had several Batman collected editions and videos at 20% for today, but I nothing I either really wanted or didn't already have (as tpb or in single issues).

Batman Day?
Should have been Batman Night. Night of the Batman. An Evening With Bats.
Batman doesn't do days.
Parental care is way exhausting. Gained insight into what my parents went through when I was a baby. Not fun, but what ya gonna do? (Read comics, obviously.)
Clearly, on Bat Day, you sleep in all day. Then tell your parents/parental figures, and the kids in your life that you love them even if you're a jerk sometimes. Have sex with a jewel thief.
Then sit down and eat some nachos, because you're a rebel.
Patsy Walker on TV! Patsy Walker in new comics! Patsy Walker in your brain! And Jessica Jones is the new Nancy! (Oh, and read the Comics Cube.)
Grape Jolly Rancher infused Vodka? Wow. That's so awful sounding I can't even...

As I mentioned above, I went to a regular bookstore, not my comic book shop (which is further away). To be honest, I don't even remember if I had heard about Saturday being Batman Day prior to going to the store and seeing one table with Bat-freebies and another table with Bat-stuff that had an extra discount for the day.
I wonder why they didn't have "Batman Day" on a Wednesday?

To celebrate Batman Day...
I didn't sit all day.
Because Batman doesn't sit.
Also, if I laughed at something, I immediately went to a restroom and slapped myself a few times, looked in the mirror and said, "I'm Batman" repeatedly until I regained a grim compusure.

And today is (or was, depending on when you see this) Batman Day 2018!
Did anybody do anything for it?
I didn't even remember it was suppose to be Batman Day 2018, but when I went to Barnes & Noble I picked up a copy of:
BATMAN: WHITE KNIGHT BATMAN DAY 2018 SPECIAL EDITION #1
(Hey, FREE is free!)
Supposedly, DC also had a Batman Day edition of Li'l Gotham #1 available this year as well, but I didn't see any copies. (And since I already had bought that series in single issues when it came out, not a problem for me.)
We watched Batman The Movie. Then my daughter and I went to our LCS, who had 40% off all Batman and related comics. So we got our free books and a few back issues.
I wish DC would do original content for these free books.
