Might be a fast draw. I'm assuming that GL at high-end still has a ring that automatically protects him. So that might limit the need for a fast-draw. It also depends on whether their respective force fields can block each other. I'm guessing GL has the edge in his ring automatically putting up a force field.
    Power with Girl is better.

YEAH I hunk lantern autoshield guards him safely enough and how tough are Sues shields at max power? Sure that a blood lusted lantern burst can over power it.

A blood lusted Lantern probably can break through, but I also imagine that there's some comic book sci-fi stuff that Sue can exploit since light typically penetrates a Green Lantern shield, or even most of their constructs to begin with, meaning an ability to sidestep the sheer durability of a Lantern shield.

So in that case, I'd agree with Powerboy that it's probably a quick draw from pure offense, rendering each others' shields pointless.

    --or--

I wouldn't say it's really a common enough move on Sue's part to make it default. If she needs to change the wavelength or frequency or whatever of her attack to make it penetrate like light, that's one more thing she needs to worry about that a GL doesn't, whereas a GL can just point and blast.

So, it could be too that a quick draw is more in Hal's favor since it's simpler and less for him to do.
