Rumblers League (Live Action Edition): The Arenas

Our list of arenas for the upcoming Rumblers League is confirmed:

Each of these arenas needs a profile.

If you could each make a 1-post profile for the arenas you added, complete with general details of the environment and any standard NPCs who'll be present, that would be great.

Starting positions for the two teams fighting in said arenas (as well as the distance between them) should also be specified.

If we could limit this thread to profiles, I'd appreciate that. Any questions you have can be DM'd to me or asked in the more general Rumblers League discussion thread we have going.

EGO



Universe: The Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Profile: Ego is a Celestial: a primordial and extremely powerful being, as well as the biological father of Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord. He developed the ability to manipulate molecules and matter, which led him to construct a protective core around himself. Over the course of many years, he continued to build planetary layers over the core which evolved into a planet itself - and that's where this arena is.

Location: Ego has a palace of sorts, which can be seen at 1:20 in this video. Each team will start two miles away from it on opposite sides, making them four miles apart from each other in total. The landscape they're on is luscious, beautiful and colourful, but it's also hilly and there are lots of tall trees (so line of sight certainly won't be possible for all but the tallest characters).

NPCs: Ego's humanoid self will be in the palace - and he doesn't take too kindly to visitors (especially if they directly affect his humanoid self).

JOTUNHEIM



Universe: The Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Profile: Jotunheim is one of the Nine Realms and the home of the Frost Giants. It is currently in a state of deterioration due to the lack of ice magic that comes from the Casket of Ancient Winters. It is well below freezing and constantly icy and snowy.

Location: Each team will be on the edge of a cliff, like the one shown in this picture. There will be a huge drop in front of them. The opposite cliff with the opposing team on it will be 1 mile away. The landscape behind each team is rocky and jagged, like in this gif.

NPCs: There will be 1,000 Frost Giants behind each team, as well as four Jotunheim Beasts (2,000 and eight of each in total, respectively).

WAKANDA:

El Dorado. The city of gold sought but never found, as it was in Africa not in South America. Well, not gold. Vibranium. This country is centered around a very tech advanced city nowadays. It is landlocked, and it is hidden. They will answer poorly to strangers battling it out in their turf.

Team Locations:

Teams will start on opposite sides, outside the wakandan illusion field. The wakandan city will be in the exact middle. Teams will be many miles apart. idk how big the city of wakanda is but lets say 5 miles total from the city, so 10+ miles apart from each other. There will be no line of sight as a hologram blocks off both wakanda and their sight of each other.

NPCs?

Black Panther, and Shuri will be on a holiday. In wakanda is just the dora milaje and their usual defense forces. The mountain border tribe will be chilling at their mountain.

The Supremacy

The mightiest ship in the arsenal of the first order now that the starkiller base has been destroyed. This ship is commanded by Supreme Leader Snoke. This behemoth of a spaceship is 60 Kilometers wide. It has ports where massive kilometer long star destroyers can dock, and it is equipped with 2.25 million personnel (stormtroopers, gunners, maintenance, etc) and their equipment. It is a massive mobile base.

Team locations

Both teams will appear in a separate star destroyer hanger. They can be seen in this image. As the star destroyer is 60 km long, im estimating that the teams will be 10 kilometers apart. With no line of sight of course. Just many walls and storm troopers in the way.

NPCs?
Snoke and his praetorian guard remain. The will not interfere directly, but Snoke will order his stormtroopers to attack the invaders of his ship. They would do that anyway, but i want Snoke here to see his ship probably be annihilated in our leagues battles. So teams just have to worry about lots and lots of stormtroopers. Kylo Ren is off on a mission.

"Hush" Sunnydale


Universe: Buffyverse.

Description: Match takes place in Sunnydale, California, during the events of the episode "Hush". All voices have been
stolen. No one will be able to speak. It is 3am.

Starting positions: Downtown Sunnydale, half a mile (0.8km) apart on Market Street
( Map of Sunnydale ) where the Gentlemen are walking in the above image.
On a road. Full line of sight - assuming your characters can see half a mile ahead in the dark.

NPCs: The Gentlemen and their insane flunkies will be wandering the city, while the generic population is in town, but
mostly asleep in their beds.

Fort Ord Military Base


Universe: Mythbusters

Description: Match takes place in the abandoned city part of the Fort Odd Military base near Monterey Bay California. It is midday in the hot California sun.

Starting positions: The first team starts at a "Secret hideout" (Read: Abandoned House") where Jamie and Adam are testing spy car gadgets, both escape and attack.
The other Team will start on the other end of town where there is a tent for making the Mythbusters really happy, and one for really upset. We will say these two spots are 5 miles away as the crow flies, which is actually filled in with suburban density housing.
No line of sight (Unless the participants are bigger than houses).

NPCs: Jamie and Adam will be having Spy Car fights near Team One, and Carrie Grant and Tory will be driving around Team 2. Other than that the city is completely abandoned.

Planet Cybertron(clip 1)

Universe: Transformers live action movies by Micheal Bay.

Description: A planet of Robots that are at war with each other. Everything is metal or hard surfaced with desert like features and landscape.

NPCs: Random Transformers are everywhere as they are in the middle of a global war and they are fighting on the ground and in the air. No named Transformers are present.

Starting Positions: Teams start 5 miles apart from each other with no line of sight and a Warzone in between them.

Universe: Star Wars live action films.

Description: A water world that has no land mass, except for huge Science stations built above the water. It is constantly storming with wind and rain, so this will be the case in match as well.

NPCs: Obi and Jango are fighting in the center station. Under the water their are large creatures but they won't fight unless provoked.

Starting Positions: Teams start on identical but different station platforms 5 miles apart with a center station 2.5 miles in front of them.

Universe: Mad Max

Description: A desolate, toxic, desert-like flat plain where resources are constantly fought over. Warring factions rule this land and the Rumbler's league has just been dropped into a huge conflict between Immortan Joe and a small rag tag group trying to stop him.

NPC's: This takes place during the climatic road war at the end of the film. Max, The Vuvalini, and Immortan Joe and His forces are all battling it out.

Starting Locations: Each team will start 5 miles from each other, with the conflict happening in the middle.

Universe: Live action Discworld

Description: Ahnk is a city filled to the brim with crime, magic, and far too many people. Just about anything can happen in this Dungeons and Dragons-esche city.

NPC's: The normal population of the city, including the wizards in the Unseen University. The fight takes place after the begining of the film, so Rincewind and Twoflower are out exploring.

Starting Locations: Each team starts about a mile from opposite sides of the city, which is around 3 miles in diameter. So a total of 5 miles distance between the two.

Universe: Star Wars

Description: A planet that has been converted into a superweapon capable of destroying an entire solar system from accross the galaxy

NPCs: Several platoons of First order storm troopers

Starting Positions: Teams start on directly opposite sides of the planetary trench, with gun that the planet fires directly between them. Assume the distance is about 100 kilometers

Asgard

Universe: MCU

Description: The home realm of Thor

NPCs: The Warriors Three, a small Asgardian army

Starting Positions: Teams start on opposite sides of the Bifrost. Assume teams are both one mile from the bridge, so 2 miles total between them

[Cleric of Hell’s Brigade]

Location: Reign Of Fire London.



Universe: Reign of Fire.

Starting Positions: Opposite sides of London, about three miles apart.

NPC’s: Dozens of smaller female dragons and the larger male Bull Dragon.



Desciption: A modern world where dragons woke up and started claiming it back. London was an epicenter of this attack, and now is home to what we know is the highest concentration of them in one location. The female dragons are all smaller, roughly between a large helicopter to large tanks size. The male Bull Dragon, however, at full extension, is the size of an old medieval castle and powerful enough to burn it down. Luckily, there is only one of him.

Location: Arrakis, Dune, desert planet.



Universe: Dune movie universe.

Starting Positions: Both teams are located, literally, in the middle of the deserts of Arrakis, five miles apart from one another.

NPC’s: Massive sandworms (some hundreds of meters long) that will be attracted to large amounts of noise or fighting to their locations.


Description: A massive desert stretching for miles in all directions, with little habitation by humans around. Arrakis is a desert world now, the home of the spice, melange, that the Spacing Guild and others so desperately need for intergalactic passage. Where the fight starts, no Freman are around is the ruler, just endless desert, a few rocky outcroppings and mountains, and the sandworms.
