The variants are interesting and i would much rather have Liefeld an no feet as opposed to what we are gonna get on interiors from burnett. Im still all in on this book but damn the art is gonna be a problem for me.
Cable isn't going to stay a kid, this is obvious. Marvel just wants to explore a direction they maybe unable to explore with regular Cable. Just like Jeen and Tyke this story is going to end and you eventually will get the regular, old bull.
Between the art and this teen Cable not being the real thing, I’m worried about this series.
Just imagine had they launched this with OG Cable and someone like Larraz on art? Makes me sad to think how they could’ve had a top selling X-Force book on their hands.
Just looking at the Larraz cover makes me think wtf was marvel thinking not putting him on interiors especially since he is killing it on Extermination
Idk, I kinda dig the teen Cable angle. It's pretty on brand for a character that already has two versions of himself, one of whom is a villain. It has a kinda nice parallel to the teen O5 narrative and even X-cutioner's Song. Looking forward to learning more about his motivations.
Well Tabitha wasn't as close to Cable as the others however I'm hoping that she gets written well and not just as a bleached blonde drunk bimbo as she has been portrayed in recent years...
I like Burnett's art and I'm not concerned about kid Cable (it seems like a temporary change, OG Cable is a time traveler, he can come back whenever they want). But the impression I get from Extermination is that this team is going to be kill happy, which is not my favorite interpretation of the team.
