    And sounds good to me!

The purpose of this thread is to celebrate the pre-Batman Eternal version of Jason Bard, who first appeared in the Batgirl back-up feature in Detective Comics #392 (cover-dated October 1969):

Jason even had his own back-up feature in Detective Comics at one point.

From Detective Comics #425 (July 1972):

    Detective Comics #427 (September 1972):

Always liked the character, thought it fit gotham too. My first time reading about him was in the pages of Robin.

Hopefully we get the more classic take back.

    Was that really an advertisement?

I thought that was only from the cover of Detective Comics #425 (July 1972)?

    Maybe not an ad.
I guess someone just posted that cover headshot from Detective #425.
I found it separate on google images.

By the way, in looking for Jason Bard appearances, it seems the name had been used in the past for a Bat-villain called "The Trapper".

From Detective Comics #206 (April 1954):

I have no idea if they were aware of this character when the private eye Jason Bard first appeared about fifteen years later.
