Ok what’s today’s Topic this time???

Hard to pick. Ya'll have been keep busy and covering a lot of topics relate to the All-Goddess. Two things that spring to mind, for areas to explore:

1. If my memory is not too faulty - didn't Storm share the position of White King with Magneto? I would love to see a story and built around this, where the past members of the Inner Circle are under attack by a powerful threat, are forced to work together and Storm is leading. It would be a good way to get some (intense) on panel interaction between Storm and some of the people she have heavy conflict with/have a hard time working with. I think this would make an interesting story arc for her solo book and an opportunity to give her another unique villain.

2. How do you feel if Meruda returned? how would you handle it and what would you to establish him as a credible force in the MU?

3. Unexplored and I'd love to see it happen - thoughts on Storm taking over a New Thunderbolts team?

EDIT - And these questions pertain to all Storm fans so would love to hear form everyone.

1) I'd like that. Storm, Emma, Magneto, Selene, Shaw and Sage would make for an eXcellent arc. Bring in Monet and Roberto too, for the full Hellfire Club X-Men experience.

2) I did not like that annual, so I'm okay with him never coming back.

3) Eh, the whole reformed villains as hero thing isn't quite Storm's wheelhouse. I'll pass on that one.

And now with his return we can have more material of this.

4) Selene had the theory that she could do that, but like most of her plans, she fails, I doubt that she could contain that power, when her draining of life the mutants have been able to bear it or let go of it.

Rogue instead absorbs 8 billion entities, and the power of all the avengers and other heroes of the planet, stopping along with Sentry to a Celestial.

Actually Selene has not even absorbed a million souls, so let's not jump to billions lol.

In fact, Rogue >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Selene.

5) Hajajajaja Selene was not killing anyone, Rogue was not even KO the only unconscious were Kurt and Rachel, Rogue was just surprised because nothing was happening and Selene was draining her, but Selene was lucky that Rogue did not hit her, because if not bye.

And as I told you how you do not know anything about the character, in that encounter, Rogue also absorbed it, because in genosha it was seen that Rogue copied Selene's psyche and power template, and again this was seen in Xmen xtreme.

And the selene circus tricks like animating objects and their low pyroquienesis are not against super strong, selene has several abilities but they are all of medium to low level, only the draining of vital force is good, and in that there are better and more complete, such as Rogue or Emplate.

You know well that Selene does not have any high feat of power, much less to compete with Rogue.

6) Selene can not with Thor and much less with Hulk do not make illusions, Selene always chooses to flee, if she meets those she simply faints. Selene has tried to drain the Hulk and failed, the same would happen with Thor.

7) Emplate has enough feats of power, many more than Selene, in Necrosha Selene failure and it did not look so powerful, emplate drainage if it is powerful, at least the mutants can not get rid of it, instead with Selene they are quite resistant to this.

8) My mistake look for it fast, but Selene has terror of Kula Gath.

9) Selene is one of the poorest and weak telepaths should not even be taken into account as one, is very limited, something similar as with Monet in the telepathic field, but of course Monet is stronger physically if they fight for sure Selene ends up defeated she can not with super strong.

Again and to finish the most recent appearance Selene showed that it is a total failure as an enemy and nothing powerful.

1) His animation of inanimate objects, proved to be once again a failure, Cable depowered LOngshot and Shatterstar managed to get loose and complicate Selene.

2) Longshot could easily cut his drain and push Selene face to face as if nothing, to get him away from him.

3) cable the humilia with a simple plasma weapon and a shot I left it wrong and Selene was terrified, I left all bloodied and begging for mercy, I know that Cable was not there to kill her, but to find out who had killed (again ) to Candra.

4) Gideon gave Selene the beating of his life, and she was about to die, that if it was not because he told Blink to take them out of there Selene would already be dead dead.

Then she rushes to plead with the Cable team to help Gideon kill something that she fails terribly.

And you consider it a mutant of the most powerful ??? please, it does not even reach the level of Polaris or Dust.

In Change Rogue is tired of saving the planet to stop a celestial, and with her touch defeat the strongest beings of the unvierso marvel, among them Hulks Gods and beings of cosmic level, Selene ??? to if it is defeated by Gideon, and before by Cable depowered and Longshot XD.


I still remember that they had her in a dungeon in HFC lol, or as Trevor Ftsroy tortured her, TF that someone from Bishop's level could finish him without using his powers lol.

Open a thread to talk about the level of Selene and its failures, or rather as it runs away. this is the thread of appreciation of Storm, if you want to go to Selene, to continue discussing, but as it is so unimportant, and has nothing impenetrating in its history I doubt you have one.

Now, to deal with your Selene stuff:

1) Regarding the scan of Mirage taking down Selene until Emma stepped in, Dani can only pull this stunt on Selene under two circumstances (1) She catches Selene by surprise or (2) Selene is too distracted by fighting other foes. Lets go back and look at Selene, now.

Here, Dani attempts to use her psi powers, but Selene is using her telepathy to block her:

Questions:

Storm met her paternal family in the lead up to her marriage in Black Panther. Her grandparents are former Black Panthers(the political party) and are pretty badass, and she has a teenaged cousin(whose mother, her father's David's sister, died of AIDS). I believe they live in New Jersey. We haven't seen them since then, but they were shown to be supportive(her grandparents knew Storm of the X-Men was their long lost granddaughter) of Ororo. (Black Panther #24)

Her maternal grandmother and uncle are still alive(and there may be more of that family line too) and we met them in the last Claremont annual before Storm's marriage. Her grandmother is a tribal queen of an unspecified culture that is as old as humanity, but their culture is matrilineal, so her uncle rebelled against them and became something of a warlord in Kenya with child soldiers. Storm and X-Men beat him up and took him back to Storm's grandmother, where presumably he is imprisoned/being dealt with according to their laws/culture. I would really like the mythology and history of this culture to be explored further. (Uncanny X-Men Annual Vol 2 1)

When Ororo was orphaned at age 4-6, she took her mother's ancestral ruby from the wreckage of their home and has had it since. It was part of the Madripoor set that was used to open a dimensional portal in X-Treme X-Men for Khan's invasion, but presumably was recovered after that story ended. The red ruby in Storm's Cockrum costume is that. She hasn't worn it in a while(since AvX), but I imagine she has it tucked away somewhere. (check out Uncanny #96, #102, for her orphan scene, Storm(2006), X-Treme X-Men (Invasion) for her gem stone)

Personally, I think with better prep, Doom could likely figure out a way around Selene's mutant powers and sorcery, but this shows that Selene is a tough customer, at least.

1. I didn't read that run but from what I recall I think they did share the title. I honestly would like storm to explore the MU away from the xmen. it feels like the only true character development for her have been outside of xbooks on recent years. that said I primarily want to see her explore aspects of her goddesshood and magical abilities so whatever tram would make that a reality I would be for.

2. I didn't really care for meruda so I wouldn't care if he returned. I loved the fact the retcon of her meeting with tchalla was retconned back to their original meeting however.

3. If being on the thunderbolt would allow for what I mentioned in my first point I would be all for it.

1. Yes Storm shares the White King title with Magneto

2. No on Storm's ongoing solo issue but yes on an xmen teambook which Storm isnt a member of it so that we can see how the other xmen members deal with him when Storm is not around. Like Generation X or Xforce

I think they mentioned it, but now with the reboot of the mutant movies, they know how I would like Storm presented, not like they did in the movie xmenapocalypse, but how it was actually presented in the comcis, that they will find it worshiped as a deity true

It is worth mentioning that the powers of Storm, in the film XmenApocalypse were "improved / granted" by Apocalypse, and that she was portrayed before that as a morlok-level mutant to the maximum, it infuriated me a lot.

Long live the reboot XD.
