I think Halle was ok as Storm. Not terrible, but far from great. Overall I like Halle. However Angela has Halle beat in terms of sheer presence and stature IMO. Angie has a level of charisma and conviction that is greater than Halle's. I think she would have been perfect for Storm. Halle was decent and did well with what she was working with.

It was Singer who gave us a different Storm, a Storm who resembles more like Storm in x-men anime, not the fierce Storm that we know in comics and cartoons.

Yassss Angela owned that role, she delivered. Even today she is still stunning and those cheekbones are everything, so please so badgering her looks saying shes old or looks old because not everyone here agrees Halle was the right choice for the role of Storm or the proper portrayal should I say. They are both beautiful black women, they are both great actresses different actresses but both great in their own ways.

Agreed. I like that Halle fought for her to do more in the films even pissing off Singer in the process. I can't hate on her to any major degree when she actually fights to make Storm more relevant.

Thank you. I always appreciate your quick wit and open mind. While she is not my fave version of Storm I give her respect for doing what she could to make Storm's role relevant. I doubt that came easily and I think it worth noting and appreciating. I'm sure we will circle back once we have had a chance to watch the movie and see what game Halle brought to her role in the 4th round.

Yes. Doop I know will ne nothing to write home about, since this is more about Doop's crush on Kitty. Original Sin...we'll see. She may be there more for the sales push than being meaningfully involved. Uncanny X-Men...that one we'll have to see what happens. The preview is definitely serving it's purpose and getting people talking about it (more like it got the Cyclop's fans all riled up).

This will for SURE be read at the shop to see if this is it is worth picking up. I do not get my hopes up for a decent presentation of Storm where Bendis is concerned. I hate feeling that way, since I think he is a talented writer, but he has made me lose faith in him doing Storm any justice. Who knows though. Maybe we will get surprised in positive way :-/.

Well I do typically get all of Storm's appearances, but Bendis and Aaron have been the exceptions to my normal routine. I will scrutinize their books that include Storm. I don't buy them at all if Storm's role is just cameo or poorly written.
