If I were the artist you would see the SHIELD helicarrier getting completely ripped to shreds by 3 powerful EF5's under such supernal control that as the operatives are barely effected by the winds as they bail out in escort chutes and watch the remnants of the helicarrier descend to the endless black depths of the ocean. For an army I'd have Storm become a temperature controlling nightmare, with multiple heatwave explosions that puts down most of the army right at the start. And then followed up with wide AoE flash-freezes that incapacitate the rest.

Oh goodness. This would be ruthless and awesome. From that panel where the avengers are discussing the x nation maybe something catastrophic did occur akin to this to where they dont want to over step their bounds.
