I hope that isn't Storm's death in the trailers but I guess it makes sense that she'll get speared like in the comic version. Do you think Halle will get some decent screentime before she bites the dust. I'm quite pleased that she has been featured in so many promo posters and trailers.

I liked that story in X-Men Gold. And thank you for the link on the sprites, blue jets, and elves. There is so much more to her powers (and this is just one of the atmospheric elements that she controls) than we get to see in comics.

I am hoping she does. I know she explained earlier on that her action scenes were limited due to her pregnancy, but I am hoping that her scenes in battle are worthwhile. And I am curious about what her role will be in the movie based on the bio she has on the official DOFP site, and from her earlier interviews about something shocking being revealed about Storm. I loved Mutant X. Bloodstorm was AWESOME! I liked her fight with Dagger and that she got to get payback on Dracula.

I've known of Storm for a long time, but the X-world scared me, where in heck do I start!?

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction re: books I should read to catch up on Storm herself?

There is so much Storm history but I think you should start with the beginning - Giant Size X-Men 1 - first Strom appearance. There have been so many Storm stories worth reading... Lifedeath I and II are among my favourite, Storm battling Cyke for leadership of the X-Men in Uncanny 201, getting her powers back in Fall of the Mutants, her romance with Forge (which some people don't like...). The best stories are by Claremont in my opinion. Some back story offers Ororo: Before the Storm, but nothing important.

Welcome! Hope you survive the X-Perience!

You should try to catch on the current version first and as you start to love her go back into her past to see better things about her. It'd be basically be like starting from a an ok point ad finishing with greatness. Try to find X-Men v3 issues #30 to #37, Wolverine & the X-Men #24, Uncanny X-Force v3 # 1 - 3 & 8-10 and X-Men v4 (all 13 issues). That should get you caught up on her most recent events, then you should start going back to her past and the best thing would be to start at the beginning I guess
